I got mine for a similar price from Canadian Tire ~1.5 yrs ago.
Might have been a little more, like $16 or $18. Keep an eye out - frequently goes on sale.

The smaller version has served me well for years. Haven't had the need to break out the new larger version here yet from the box, though my old one does have a broken lid handle -- still works well though without it :P

???? Last week i bought one for 16. Yesterday, it was 14 and i was about to get another one. Today, it is showing 48.99 as if it want you not to buy and wait. For 14 or 16, i strongly recommend it but definitively not at 48.99. This rice cooker looks nice, cooks perfectly well but seems fragile and to be handled with care.

Great price but I was disappointed that they use nonstick coating on the inside. I am currently using a stovetop stainless steel pan for steaming (similar to a double boiler but the top pan has perforations in it).

Still $14 today as well. Terrible reviews on the B&D site. I mean I guess its cheap, but quality seems pretty low.

Does anyone know if you can get replacement parts for this, like the steamer or cooking basket?

A better price for replacement parts, all and every single one, is 12.60 if you get them from Amazon warehouse. Marked as "used-very good" but i'm quite sure the most important parts must be perfect for them to sell for use.

That is an insanely cheap price but also a really big rice cooker. Recommended for large families really, not for 3 to 5 people...
