All previous Koodo threads are converting this one into a puddle of water. You would have to be out of your mind to spend $500 on BlackBerry, when you could get Samsung flagship phone for even less money.

Less money only if using Koodo Tab and / or retail GC as future credit..with upfront purchase it's hard to find a flagship for less than $500. Koodo's no plan pricing for comparable Sammie S7 (similar specs and release year) is $804.

No sane person should even touch the Motion. BlackBerry (Mobile) actually think they can charge as much as an S8 or Pixel 2 for a friggin SD625, end of 2017.

KEYone I'll give it a pass since it's the only PKB phone available now, but even then the $729/$799 asking price is insane. Even the current $599 for the neutered Silver is iffy.

I don't thin many phones can match the battery life of the motion and the KEYone price was indeed too high. Each to their own though, I love my KEYone after having 6 blackberry 10 devices. Night and day

I like BB products and can acknowledge their prices are high. But I love the experience on my KeyONE. Much better than the DTEK 50 and 60, and blows the Priv's PBK out the water. Finally something to transition from the Classic or Passport if you've been holding out for a comparable keyboard to those 2 devices.

Longtime BB user here, and even I'm not considering the newer BBs for a new phone. If only this one was $200, I would have bought it, but $500 is tough. I went ahead and purchased an Elephone S8. Will probably use BB Launcher and BB Hub+ though. Please give us a Priv 2.0 with top of the line specs!

Hardware keeps coming - TCL makes it not Blackberry. This phone is pretty decent.

My issue is support and updates. This phone will not be getting anymore of them. If it was $300 fine. For $500 it better get some updates!

Unbelievable - both Dtek50 and 60 didn't get Nougat let alone Oreo....... this is atrocious
Even $100-200 phones have better support

I agree.

I love Blackbery software (I still use the hub on my samsung) but I won't buy another Blackberry given what I have seen from TCL.

Not too bad, I would save up for the Key One as others have stated. If anyone is looking at BB for use as a fun phone for multimedia and games, wrong company to do that with. I have a DTEK50 and it suits me fine. My main use for it is phone and messaging. I'll watch some videos on there when needed. That being said, the phone is starting to show its age, running a bit slower. I have had it since launch. Why I got back to BB devices, even though they are not manufactured by BB themselves is because of the software touches they put into the stock android OS. I like their workflow and being able to access things (notes, calander, etc) with a swipe vs having to tap into an app is useful for me.

If I was looking at a phone for multi-media and fun, this would definitely not be it. That being said, if my DTEK50 died today, I'd go and purchase a BB device again. If this device suits your needs and budget, I would go for it but have a look at the key one though it is a little over $100 bucks more on Amazon @ $593
