[Amazon.ca] Blink XT2 - 1 Camera Kit - $99.99

Had an eye on this for a while, not as good as the boxing day deal but it's worth this price

Last time they were on sale for this price Amazon and Bestbuy both threw in a free echo dot. They work excellent BTW

Thank you. I also received an alert this morning from CCC advising of the sale. I'll be picking up a 4th camera to add to my system.

Initial cost of product is less and no recurring monthly fees for cloud storage. Batteries last approx. 1-2 years and are relatively cheap to replace. Easy to setup as well.

My personal philosophy is to avoid recurring fees as much as possible, unless there is a clear and tangible benefit. With video surveillance systems, it will hopefully be once in a green moon that you will ever need to save anything, and it will only be a little. With blink you can send it to yourself. We are living in an age of recurring fees that didnt exist before (spotify, uber eats)

I bought the 3 camera set and one of my camera night vision wasn't working that good. So I reach out to the company they had me trying different things to see if it would work but after a month of back and forth emails they said they would send me a new one. Once the package arrived I noticed there were 2 in the box
If they thumb you down I will up it just because

Last week during the southern Alberta cold spell, with temperatures dropping as low as -30c, I didn't have any issues with the camera. Notifications are fairly quick, I would say there's about 3-5 second delay. However, there are quite a bit of false alerts with this camera.

Overall, i'm happy with the purchase and probably get a second camera for the backyard.

I've had this camera since the summer, and my batteries only last 2-3 months max. I placed it in between my house and my neighbours so there its a moderately busy zone. Camera isn't bad, but i absolutely hate the delay when it starts to record...for the price it's worth it but i also have a wyze camera at the front of my house which is a thousand times better imo

like mine as well. i do notice that it will take a video but i can't see any movement. I suspect a bird or reflection activates the motion sensor, and it records too late. generally happy with them

This is an excellent book for those purchasing a used Nikon D5000, especially if the book is in the Kindle digital form
