Looks cool, but is it any useful? I never bought, but I wonder how it would be any different from wearing airpods + sunglasses? Nothing in the ears? Anybody own these and can chime in? Thanks for feedback.

I wear this while riding bicycle, and absolutely love them. They are much better sound than I anticipated. Yeah, you're not going to get the deepest bass, but they're completely fine for on the go. I've been suggesting these to anyone who rides bike as you can listen to your music, podcasts, etc, but still hear everything going on around you.

Edit: They do seem awkward in pictures, but wearing them you don't even notice they're any different than regular sunglasses. Most people don't even notice a difference either, the enlarged sides just look like a style more than anything.

Bought these the last time they were on sale.

Pretty cool device, sound is decent for what it is, Actually perfect for sunny use it when I’m out jogging & biking.

The sound is incredibly directional, it’s not like you are walking with speakers strapped to your temples. Unless you are playing music very loud, and someone is like a foot next to your face, they wouldn’t hear anything. Quite impressive actually.

Open back headphones would produce more sound pollution than these

Probably wouldn’t use it for anything else other than that though.

They are more confortable than wearing the Aftershocks for biking.

yeah, they work well for what they are....kind of a niche use item, but perfect if you just want to hear some podcasts/music in the background and not lose any situational awareness, these are handy.

There is no real bass, so if sound quality is a priority, these can't replace even pretty cheap earbuds in terms of sound quality. Good for walks, jogging, riding bike, or lying on the beach etc.

As sunglasses, they aren't nice looking (kind of a strange shape). The newer models look more like regular non-audio sunglasses.

Anyone know if these can fit prescription lenses? Couldn't find it anywhere on the product page and strangely not in the FAQ

Correction: not just Small Alto at that price. The other base frames are the same price. Some other versions are also well under $200 as well, so check out all your options before deciding.

Yes the lens pops out very easily. Bose has a video on youtube. You can also search on aliexpress for some polarized lens to change up the color (no prescription).

I got these last year when they were on sale

Pretty good for what they are, also their large size is actually large and should fit most larger heads.

Yes it does work with prescription lenses

These are a niche device but really useful for people who need to be aware of their surroundings while listening to music or podcasts.
I personally use these for doing housework, doing groceries, or at night shift work, all of which are situations where I need to be aware of my surroundings but listening to some songs or podcasts make the time go by quicker. Hahaha

I would say these could be one of the last sale on this model since Bose may be trying to phase out this model in favor of newer models they released.

Sweet, paid $75 for the razers so hopefully they don't disappoint. Also picked up the Ankers for $150, so a little bit more but hopefully better than Bose SQ.

I have had these for a while and also use them for roller blading and biking. The mic seems pretty good, haven’t had any complaints talking on the phone (not so good when there is a lot wind though).
