[Amazon.ca] Bowflex PR1000 $689 and back in stock!

Not the hottest price but the key thing is that it's back in stock! You can have one at home since now gyms are almost close again in this coming second wave. Cheaper than the membership fee too.
Also, from price point, this is way better deal than paying for dumbbells which is essentially being price gouged plus you need a bench for it.
  • 25+ exercises that cover the entire body
  • Over 200 lbs. of Power Rod resistance
  • Bench converts to a rolling seat for aerobic rowing
The stock on Amazon is on and off in last few days, I ended up ordering from Walmart.ca and shipped it to the store($10 more but I may price match it, rakuten also gives you 1% that's $682). https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/bowflex-pr ... 0197687669

"Almost close again"? Not likely to happen.

"Cheaper than the membership fee"? I pay $10 a month at Fit4Less.

They will close again...if COVID-19 bounces up as expected.

That must be a shitty gym. Most are $50 a month. And if you have a family, $100 a month.

Don't be a dick.

I was briefly considering this until I read the reviews about the weight indicators not being accurate. With where I’m at in the gym, and according to reviews, I’d max this out already.

While it may be a decent deal for some and better than the price gougers on marketplace and kijiji, I’d rather wait for dumbbells, and if they never go on sale for normal pricing and the gym shuts down again, I’ll just do body exercises until they open again like last time.

But chances are that won’t happen again. COVID is here to stay and I think we all realize that now.

By the way, fit4less at $10/month, you could get 5+years of memebership or this. I’d take the membership any day.

That is every two weeks if you are using the basic membership. But off topic. Thanks OP for posting.

this one doesn't have the option to add extra resistance bars...how much resistance is "200 lbs" really at this point?

those must be better and have more functions.
PR1000 is the entry level model. So maybe it is not good for someone is doing intensive exercises which could cause the weight being off over time as someone mentioned in the review, but that's way out of my range. I am not worry about it.
Btw, my membership costs 55/bi-weekly, which is an absolutely nice place. But what can I do :)

No. Either way, they won't. Watch and see.

Wrong. It's great. They even have disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer stations all over the gym, in addition to continuous cleaning throughout the day and eletrostatic cleaning nightly.

PR1000 is not worth it - if you want to get a Bowflex nothing wrong with it, just don't get this. As mentioned already, the resistance rods aren't upgradeable, so if you go to the gym regularly you will max out in short order on some of the workouts.

Source - I researched myself in March/April...I ended up buying a Bowflex PR3000 + weight upgrade to 310 lbs + squat bar + lat bar + tricep rope

It's good for a single machine to workout every body part but will not give you the same pump as regular equipment.

I ended up buying a ton of other equipment so I only use the Bowflex now for certain workouts I can't replicate with my other equipment (lat pull down, tricep pulldown/extension, high delt rows) so bit expensive for primarily just those workouts, but it has it's place in my garage gym.

Blaze comes with a $40~ (regular pre covid price) lat pull down bar. You can hook up a bar to this one and get most of the exercises. Google the manuals for each and you’ll find how many exercises they each offer. Blaze offers “60” but in reality most are similar. It’s a good machine and Kijiji has them for 300~ If you negotiate. Just ensure the pullies aren’t rusted and If it’s disassembled, odds are you’ll be missing some of the generic bolts and such. Good for keeping busy in lieu of a gym. Would pair with free weights tho the way it’s setup, dropping the weights isn’t really possible due to bars on the bottom support.

See there is hacked way to upgrade the weight on PR1000.

I spoke with Customer Service at Powerblock. They said their manufacturing and delivery of product is unreliable right now. That was the gist of the message. That was about 5 weeks ago.

I had a PR3000 back in the day. Garbage. Garbage. Garbage. I had never done any sort of weight training at that point and I almost immediately maxed out the bench press.

Rack, bar, weights and dont look back.
