I’ve been waiting for a deal on these since I missed the mid $500s price in September. I appreciate the post OP but this is ice cold.

The machines were about $600 pre-pandemic and you could usually stack a coupon. Also, bed bath and beyond had it for $720 until yesterday.

That price is a gouge and the grinder on the machine is not the greatest so you are probably better off getting a bambino and a stand alone grinder.

in case anyone asks, the grinder is purely for espresso. the coarsest setting is not coarse enough for drip

i got this on September for about $500 after discount and credit refund. I am new to expresso machine. For me, this one is better than bamnino since it has pressure gauge so i know extraction pressure is enough to make expresso.

Is still 640+tax at Bed Bath and Beyond with the 20% email sign up coupon. I just bought this last week.

I don’t think they allow the coupon to be applied anymore, I tried when it was $719 earlier this week and got into it with them in live chat since there was no exclusion listed. They’re claiming Breville won’t allow them to sell it for less than $719. I smell BS…. but AFAIK you can’t apply it to the $799 price now either.

You can try with (attached pic) this but they certainly didn’t let me apply it to the 719.99 price. I suspect it falls well below their cost. Loving the machine though.

I've had this machine for 7-8 years.

Still works great, but it's way over priced.

I'd shoot to get it under $600.

Good machine. But not sure if good price…wait for BBB’s sale and the apply the code for $500-600 ish.
1. Buy cheap, buy twice
2. Don’t buy because it’s cheap. Buy it when needed or it brings convenience/happiness/better quality in life
3. Buy now think (regret/return) later
4. If the gut says don’t tell your lady, don’t!

Covid kept a lot of people working at home for a long time, and demand for home espresso went way up.

I've kept my eye on this machine for quite awhile, waiting for the price to drop. $799 is in fact overpriced. For the past 6 months, it's been hovering at $719 (even though the "regular" price is $899). Don't get suckered into this $799 price!

Bought used on FB marketplace for $250 at the start of the year, that's crazy how they keep going up.

+1 on getting this for around the $500 mark. I would purchase it again for $500, but not for more.
It is a great machine, imo for $800 there are better options.

The newer ThermoJet in the Bambino/Plus and Barista Pro actually performs better than the ThermoCoil in the Express, DuoTemp and Infuser.
