[Amazon.ca] Breville BREBCG820BSSXL Smart Grinder Pro - $224.99

CCC shows that the Breville Smart Grinder Pro is usually $250 to $299. BestBuy has also dropped it to 224.99

This grinder is suppose to be able to grind fine enough for espresso and coarse enough for French press. Reviews do show that the coarse grinders are decently consistent. I was on the market for an all in one grinder.

Good price on a good grinder. This is my daily grinder paired with a Breville Infuser espresso machine. I've been using this grinder for about 3 years now and it's still working great.

I bought one for my parents years ago too. They use this for drip coffee (mainly). I use mine exclusively for espresso. Since there are 60 "steps" on this grinder it is great for pretty much all types of coffee.

I strongly recommend buying some grindz grinder cleaner to go with the grinder if you're going to use this machine daily:

Just a small capful of grindz once every 2-4 months or so is a great way to get all of the oils cleaned out from the burrs on the grinder and extends the life of the machine significantly. Just make sure to read the instructions clearly. Never ever put water or anything wet into your coffee grinder!

These drop under $200 a lot. It's a good entry level grinder for espresso, but def can be had cheaper

I think I paid around $160-$180 for mine a few years ago... Hold out if you can wait for a better price!

It's true that this model does drop to ~180 quite frequently. But I need it now so I will take whatever discount I can get. Thanks!

Great grinder BUT..... well known issue where the impellor wears out.

See... https://www.ifixit.com/Wiki/Breville_BC ... leshooting

Apparently you can buy a 3d printed replacement part but I moved onto a used full automatic machine after mine went down.

I really miss my old setup. It was so cathartic to start my day with a nice grind and tamp versus the click of a button. Felt like a barista

Good enough for filter and pour over but expect clumps for the espresso.

That would be the older 800 model not the newer 820, it's been fixed.

You are correct! I assumed because the 820 came out in 2014 then mine must have been the 820 but it turns out I bought in 2013 for $150
