never buy new dumbbells... weights are weights - used on kijiji is just as good, and at half the price.

I'm in a fight with our UPS driver. He'd never even try to deliver them, but I could at least make him suffer by hauling it off the truck into the store...

It's sad that this motivates me to buy these more than actually trying to get into shape.

I bought 2 sets of these a few years back at canadian tire and outgrew them and sold them on kijiji for $40 each set.

Why are you in a fight with him? Order too much stuff and pissed him off from the extra work? lol

Pretty much. He fakes delivery attempts because he doesn't like delivering to condos. UPS won't do anything, the store is siding with me, as he lies to everyone.

So yeah, I got Amazon Prime and order cheap items. Lots of them. Just because I can. It's petty, and I love it.

I bought these from walmart for 37.98 after tax around 43 dollars. I had them delivered, the delivery guy asked me "man what is in this box", that was fun.

Reminds me of the puralator guy who said I missed my delivery because I didn't give an apartment number...I live in a house. Luckily he didn't steal my graphics card.

General rule of thumb... $1 per pound is the regular going rate for weights. Never buy them new like other poster mentioned.

I love it!

Is there something cheaper per-unit mass like water, sand or lead-pellets that we can start shipping around just to rub it in? Then use Amazon and UPS to return the items, hopefully with the same driver?

How is this 40lbs when it comes with 30lbs in plates? Do the handles count as 5lbs each or something?
