[Amazon.ca] Casio Women's Easy-To-Read Solar Stainless Steel Watch 75% off

I was looking for a good quality and less expensive watch to replace my two-year old fancy Citizen Eco-drive watch ($169+tax) died last week. This solar powered stainless watch looks classic, sturdy, and very affordable!

Here are the tech specs.

Solar Powered
50M Water Resistant
3-Hand Analog
Date Display
Module 5452
LTPS100E 32.0 x 25.5 x 10.0 mm / 32g

It has two colours (white & black). The original price is $54.95 USD. Check more details at http://www.casio.com/products/Watches/C ... PS100E-7BV

I'm realizing Citizen Eco-Drives are not as good as people think. They still have batteries that die frequently and cost ~$100 to replace rather than $10. I'll stick with Seiko.

That's not good to hear. I have 4 different Eco-Drives between 2-4 years old and seem ok... hopefully they don't go the route of the OP's.

Does the band need resizing? Or can it be resized?

I personally is a fan of Citizen Ecodrive. My family has quite a few of them, and all of them are in perfect working condition (including the batteries) for years that I have them. Note, Citizen also has five-year warranty. If yours stops working, Just bring it back to Citizen to fix it.

I was reading the descriptions (165 feet vs. 330 feet), but you're right - the watch faces both show 50M WR. Not that I have any plans to go swimming with or without a wristwatch.

Can this white or black dial watch fit the thin wrist of an Asian woman? Can the elastic wrist band be shortened?

Is there a men's version of this at the same price?

The specs are silent on one of the most important metrics ... accuracy. I hate watches that need adjusting before the clocks change.
