Just FYI if you have a non wifi MyQ GDO its better to get the home bridge or internet gateway especially if you got 2 doors. It just needs to be put on your wifi and it will know if the door is open or not.

This is mainly for GDOs before MyQ, thats why you need to attach the sensor to the door.

It's also worth noting that 1 hub can control up to 2 garage doors. You just need a sensor for each door. But given that the price of the hub+sensor is a buck cheaper than just the sensor itself, it's worth it to just get two bundles and then either keep the second hub as a backup, or sell it.

I have a liftmaster that is myQ ready, will this work?

i think i only need the 828LM, but it's 80$ where this is 50$.

also, is MyQ subscription based?

Only for Google Assistant, IFTTT, and some other services.

You can control it from the myq app for free and there's a custom smartthings device handler/smart app which also works without a subscription.

Can you connect this to more than one phone from MYQ app?

I’m reading mixed reviews some are saying it can only be controlled from one phone...

Can someone confirm?

ok thanks

my garage door opener has myQ but no WiFi, this should work I think (maybe I only need to use the WiFi part and not the sensor).

ordered :)

You can control this on multiple phones. You can also assign guests and grant them access to control the GDO. They would install the MyQ app on their phone and you'd grant them access from your account.

I'm in the same boat. Looks like the sensor does have to be installed as well. However, the HomeBridge device is apparently ALSO needed if one wants Apple HomeKit support.

Anyone have any luck yet installing with a Craftsman? Can't seem to get it to pair with the garage opener, it has a purple button. It'll open and close while pair and then give up.

Anyone know what the difference is between the 301 and the 301C?

I have a GDO with MyQ (no "wifi" printed on it) . I got the 828LM about 4 months ago and it paired quickly and is sitting it the room above the garage. Works solidly and their app is nice. Wish it had free google support however.
