[Amazon.ca] Club House Taco Seasoning (735g) - $5.99

A lot of taco seasoning for not a lot of money. Seems like it's actually a pretty crazy low price—less than half of what the previous all-time low was.

The taco seasoning isn't gourmet or anything, but fine for easy taco Tuesdays or fajita bowls, and definitely worth it at that price.

EDIT: Didn't realize it was temporarily OOS but you can still order for later shipping.

I moved away from getting taco seasonings (I use to get those old old el paso packs) because too much salt and other ingredients I was not found off.

This one ingredients are as follows, I think this one is a bit better than el paso but the salt is still high.
INGREDIENTS
SPICE (INCLUDING RED PEPPER), DEHYDRATED ONION, SALT, CORNSTARCH, SUGAR, GARLIC POWDER, HYDROLYZED WHEAT PROTEIN, CITRIC ACID, YEAST EXTRACT.
It's pretty simple to make your own, so anyone who missed on the deal can always try making your own.

Here is just 1 recipe you can follow:

For those saying to make your own seasoning. Making your own is definitely better, but it’s not likely to be cheaper, unless you already have everything on hand.

This one seems pretty good on ingredients that's why we use it.

Just treat it as salt, don't dump it in there...

Ordered more the other day when it came on for the same price. We have been using this one for a bit now. Approx 1-1/2 to 2 TBLSP per pound is more than enough for our family on nacho night.

Sigh. I have been on a Mexican kick lately. Go through the entire round tin of Old El Paso taco seasoning once a month.

... Was gonna say... I get an OEPaso tin from my local Co-Op foods for like, $6 ish dollars, about same size. Might have been on sale, but not unheard of. You just have to Look around/find someone who carries it. Much cheaper than buying individual packets or those kits with their crap salsa/hotsauce and high price..

As for the "make-your-own"-ers/ closetted Mexicans, -- sure , may be cheaper, but I dont do tacos every day or even every week.. 8 different spices going stale on their own over time and not getting used? No thanks. Convenience wins here. Wish they sold the OEP tin in the lowsodium like they do in packets though. Then again, salt isn't as bad as the 90s would have you believe. I have constantly LOW bloodpressure -- not a big concern for me.

Seems like this deal is back and alive again—could it get moved into hot deals again by chance?
