[Amazon.ca] Cooler Master NR200P MAX Small Form Factor Mini-ITX Case - Out Of Stock

This deal is clearly not for everyone, especially those who are not looking for a SFF PC case and have built a PC before. But for those who have not built a PC before and are looking for an easier "semi-built" case, then this just might fit the bill for you since it includes custom water cooling and an 850 watt PSU...

I have been waiting for the CM NR200P Max for quite some time now. I actually saw there was stock on the Cooler Master North America website, but was unable to place an order because it seems like they only ship within the US...(which is stupid because it's supposed to be a "North America" store...). Anyways, I thought I would check to see if it was available on Amazon.ca and to my surprise it was! And it was cheaper than the $499.99 USD price!

There are only 3 left in stock, so buy ASAP before they are sold out! (BTW, this is my first post!)

From Amazon.ca:

About this item

- Cooler Master’s First MAX: The MAX line delivers tailor-made building platforms with maximum performance and hardware compatibility.

- Pre-Installed Water Cooling & Power Supply: From edge-to-edge, the top panel perfectly fits a 280mm AIO CPU Cooler. To ensure future upgrades are provided more than enough power, the NR200P MAX also includes 80 Plus Gold verified 850-watt SFX PSU.

- SFF Building Refined: Only 18 liters in volume, the NR200P MAX takes the difficulty and hassle of cable management out of SFF PC building.

- Luxurious, Out-of-the-Box Solution: A time efficient, ready-made solution for PC enthusiasts who place utmost value on their PC performance.

- Triple-slot GPU support with Vertical Riser Cable: Triple slot GPUs with a maximum length of 330mm and 156mm width can be supported. And the custom-sized riser cable allows a vertical mount of the GPUs card to showcase it, or radiator mounting at the bottom of the case.

Jesus. Had no idea this case was that expensive. Could get a CPU + Motherboard + RAM + Storage for $500-550

Yes, I agree it's an expensive case, but the main reason I wanted this is for the SFF since I will be moving out of country at the end of the year, so I needed something that wouldn't pose too "huge" of an issue when packing/shipping. It does also come with quite a few things as well (i.e. 280mm AIO CPU Cooler, 80 Plus Gold 850 Watt SFX PSU, Vertical Riser Cable). It's not solely for a case.

The other reason why I'm willing to pay a little more for the NR200P Max is because this will be my first PC build and I was not confident in my "water cooling abilities", which is something I wanted. So this case is a lot more "user friendly" to a PC building noob like me Grinning Face With Smiling Eyes

The "bare bones" NR200P usually goes on sale, but this "Max" version comes with the custom water cooling and 850 watt PSU. It's more "builder friendly" for a noob like me and SFF typically has a premium price (as well as limited stock) for this specific model. If I knew how to run lines and all that, I would definitely go the other "bare bones" route, but I'm short on time and am willing to pay a little more for something a little easier to put together.

I had no idea CM even sold a version that had a 280mm AIO + 850W Gold ... I guess to put into perspective, a Corsair SF750 Plat is ~$235 after taxes. Any decent 280mm AIO will not be too much cheaper than that as well.
The bare metal itself is ~$70 on sale (give or take).

Overall its a fair price, if you insist on a 280mm AIO + 850W PSU.

Although I see the price is $499 USD on the CM US site? I thought it was supposed to be $400 USD

The "premium" over the plain NR200P case isn't too bad at $500 CAD.

850W SFX power supply probably around $200+ ish
280mm cooler $150 ish
Gen 4 riser $80
regular NR200P case $80

So you are already near $500 and you don't have the nicer routed cables this comes with.

Thanks OP!

The SFX PSU is about $200, $100 for the AIO. PCI gen 4 riser is about $70. Makes the case about $130 with the two panels.

Also if you wanted to do a loop in the top it's ready out of the box. And you don't have to do any mods. Solid case, and a great deal. Was planning to get the nr200 but will get this instead and save me the hassle of modding it.

I wanted to buy the NR200 case on sale for a simple build without GPU, but wasn't able to find any cheap SFX PSU.

Exactly. With what this "Max" version comes with, there's a lot less headaches or head scratching for someone who's building their first PC and wants it water cooled. The other consideration which a few people are probably not considering is the time involved with sourcing parts and whatnot. I would rather save time and spend just a little more to have things come all in one "kit" (so to speak).

Ah that sucks. Sorry you weren't able to get one. These "Max" versions are almost as tricky as good GPUs, they go pretty quickly. But, at least you know now that you can get them from Amazon.ca (shipped and sold), so that's a little reassuring since the Cooler Master North America Store apparently only ships within the US...(still think it's stupid they call it the "North America" store...)

The Arctic freezer 280mm AIO sold by Arctic Inc on Amazon is $156, Evga GM 850W is $230 on Amazon and newegg, the barebones NR200P version is $50-70 on sale - I think I see the white non glass for $74 right now.

So around $440 + taxes vs this one. Hmm not a bad deal for a NR200 Max, but I am not sure if the included AIO and PSU compare well to the standalone parts.

This one does allow you to showcase your parts better without a top mod for a top 280rad, but eh that’s subjective.

“Water cooling” in this case is using AIO which is dead simple for a newbie if you get your own AIO. This is not some custom loop which requires a lot of skill.

When I did my first AIO build it was easier than an air cooler.

Unless you're going high end, could easily make do with a 650W, or even 550 for midrange. The PSU adds a lot to this build.

I would argue anyone who cares about SFF would be looking high end.

Super niche, but the price is right because building mini itx with the right parts is even more of a time-consuming hassle than normal. Some people can't even fit their hands in these cases lol. These parts are the right size and are already installed.

But I've never built a PC before, nor have I even opened up a laptop. I'm as "noob" as one can get. When you did your first AIO build, did you at least have experience with building or tinkering with PCs beforehand? If so, I don't even have that achievement under my belt... This "MAX" version just takes a lot of the (second) guess work out of the equation for me.

I wish they sell a version of this without the included PSU or AIO for folks who want to do a 280+240 or even dual 280 custom loop builds for the ever power hungry gpu / cpu combos.

There is a hint of a new meshlicious v2 coming out sometime this year as well.

That was my first PC build in 10 years. Previously all I did was open laptop panel and install SSD.
Building PCs is like adult legos. Don’t need to stress too hard over it, and even standalone AIOs are pretty much Lego pieces in this case.
The only thing you need to learn is cable management which you will have to even in this case anyways.

Modern PC building is super easy, it’s not the 2000s.
