In this case the difference in price is roughly the price of a membership and then you get access to all of the other deals for a year. If your heart of hearts is set on an airfryer, it seems like a no brainer.

Well no one in my family has one, also don't wanna be asking friends all the time.

Fine. Then do what @NineOne suggested, and get a membership and airfryer for just a bit more money, and you get access to Costco for the entire year.

Dumb question - what’s the differs between an air fryer and a normal convection oven? I can’t say I see the difference but as part of the unwashed masses, I hope someone can help me understand

"Air Fryer" is basically clever marketing. All air fryers are essentially convection ovens. But the concentration and movement of the air in the design does make them more effective at crisping food.

I cook a TON, and I have a convection oven (actually a double oven, so I have two ovens already). I held out for a long time and then finally bought one of the Costco air fryer deals, figuring for $50 (at the time), I could gamble. Well, I could never go back and I'm happy to sacrifice the counter space. It doesn't replace my oven fully, but I use it all the time. It gets up to 400f in about 3 minutes, doesn't heat up my place, and is stupidly easy to clean.

I cook bacon in a total of 8 minutes with no mess. I do hardboiled eggs in it every weekend to last me through the week. I do brussels sprouts and broccoli to get that nice crispy char with minimal effort. And then if you're the type to keep frozen chicken nuggets, fries, etc. around, this will cook them perfectly, faster and more easily, using less hydro too, than your regular oven.

All of that said, and I could say more, they're still not for everyone. I know plenty of people who don't share the above use cases, or just don't have the kitchen space to make it worthwhile. But mine gets turned on almost, if not at least, daily.

The quick preheat is so nice, even my old toaster oven took a while to heat up.

Any tips on the hardboiled eggs? Can't figure out a good method. I soak them in an ice bath but the shells don't come off clean.

Chicken breast or other meats cook really well in the airfryer with the drip tray. NIce not having to constantly watch it on the pan.

Just get the Costco one, been using it for months and been solid. These Cosori are overpriced in comparison.

Not a good idea, could probably get blacklisted if you do it too much.

Have had this COSORI air fryer for 1.5 years now and we've been happy with it. Use it all the time, twice today actually. Paid $111 back in Oct 2020. The basket has a non-stick finish so don't recommend using any metal utensils that can chip it away. Have a few spots/scratches from normal use but still working 100%, very easy to clean.

I do eggs at 120c (mine doesn't show F, but 250f) for 18 minutes. I start them in there cold and then I forget about them for a while... sometimes until the next day. Either way I just move them to a bowl and put them in the fridge and they almost always (all but one time) peel pretty easy.
