Really ? I buy one because of the best price.
Thanks Op!

Yes, but it's noting to write Home about, because it's the Frustration-Free Packaging version with a $13 Shipping fee unless you are a Prime member. So with shipping, it's the same price as the Standard packaging version which is still $40 with Free Shipping for everyone. The BX500 120 GB has been at $38-$40 with free shipping on Amazon.ca since its introduction 2 months ago.

In the 120 GB category, here is a better deal (BX300 MLC memory cells > BX500 TLC memory cells.) Crucial BX300 120 GB $40 Third party seller on Amazon.ca

Who's gonna get a 120GB SSD these days? I'd want at least 240GB in my laptop.

Someone who is price sensible. We are on RFD after all. 120 GB is plenty as a boot drive. Many people have secondary storage for games and movies. For example, I put a $10 caddy in my laptop instead of the optical drive where I put an extra drive for storage. The internal SATA 6 Gbps gives me faster speeds than if I would use an external enclosure on USB2.

Yup, 120GB is fine for a media center PC that doesnt have apps like Office/Photoshop/Steam etc.

This is probably the new normal. NAND prices have been in a tailspin since the summer. There is more supply than they can move. QLC NAND is also here and that makes more capacity cheaper. And there are finally non-Samsung NVMe drives that are really competitive so those are falling in price too. I don't know if we'll see anything better on Black Friday or not (because Canada Black Friday is at least 90% hype), but prices like this will certainly be widespread.

And I thought I'm being unreasonable at $149ish.

althegreat wrote: the price of ALL MICRON own products WILL continue to FALLLLLLL.
WHY?
IP theft!
Micron infringed Chinese IP patents ,; many Micron or Crucial products are forbidden to be sold in world's largest market___China.

many or all western media accuse China of IP thefts BUT the TRUTHS is many western companies infringed on
Chinese patents.

What.....HUH?

what the media does not always report is that: China is the second largest NEW patents holder in the world.( #1 is USA )
