It actually has been cheaper but I believe it was a pricing error.

That would be correct, on amazon prime day, it was $180, cuz the prime day discount somehow got applied twice during checkout. This double discount glitch on checkout applied to a number of items on prime day, not just this SSD

In SSD threads there's often people saying SSDs will be going up or down in price soon, but I can't remember, where are we now? :)

It's suppose to go up this year, since nand prices are going up. or at least it'll peak up for a bit before maybe going back down towards end of the year

If you look, prices have gone up in the past week. For example, the 1TB Adat SU800 was $129.99 regular price ($99.99 during BF) and now it's $179.99 regular price with $129.99 weekend special right now at CC.

NAND prices going up sadly. I read about this. 2019 was the year to buy your NAND devices. I was tracking a 16 gb ram piece, and it went down to 92 bucks, then 117 bucks 2 weeks ago and spiked to 190 - this is a third party seller btw and no way represents the general market in magnitude (except the upward trend). They said 5% this quarter and between 20-40% on the year unless I'm remembering incorrectly.

I think it was $180 for 2TB, that was a deal I missed out on. Now it seems to make sense as the prime discount got applied double which means the advertised price didn't quite catch my eye.

I bought the 2TB for $180 and haven't used it yet. Feel really bad about it, just no use for it. Even tried to sell it on kijiji for $200 but there were no takers.

I need to build a new PC sooner or later so I will use it, just not sure when that will happen.

The advertised deal on prime day was suppose to be $242 for 2TB, but the double discount glitch happened, and people got it for $180ish

Are these drives reliable? What is the best option in the 2tb range?
