[Amazon Canada] Crucial MX500 SDD (1TB/$145)

Highly rated Crucial MX500 1TB SSDs are 144.98 on Amazon Canada while the 500GB variants are back up to $90. They have gone as low as $79.90 in the past week or so.

Here is the link for the 1TB: https://www.amazon.ca/Crucial-MX500-NAN ... B078211KBB
Here is the link for the 500GB: https://www.amazon.ca/Crucial-MX500-500 ... lp_pl_dp_1

CCC for the 1TB: https://ca.[insertccchere].com/Crucial-MX500-NAND-SATA-Internal/product/B078211KBB
CCC for the 500GB: https://ca.[insertccchere].com/Crucial-MX500-500GB-NAND-Internal/product/B0784SLQM6
Replace the "[insertccchere]" with "camel camel camel" (no spaces)

Don't forget eBates!

And just as a heads-up, SSD prices might (are) going to fall this year. Wait if you must, but it still seems like a great deal, especially if you need a hard drive (SDD) ASAP.

Please also note that this is the 2.5" variant, compatible with many Window laptops and older Macbooks. They might also work in a desktop; of course that depends on what motherboard you have. It is not an m.2 SSD. As an RFDer pointed out, it's probably worth it to shell out a bit more on a NVMe SSD if you have an m.2 slot since they are much faster.

Just think how addictive this site is, how many times a day you check RFD and for how many years you've been doing that.

This is on the right track, OP, but let me correct your expectations for Late Summer 2019:

1TB/$100
500GB/$50

Call me when we get close.

Frustration free package means it will be in a brown box or a bag vs OEM packaging.

I’d suggest setting a deal alert on CCC - I posted as soon as I got the notification. I set it for $80/$150 respectively and if it went lower or arrives at that price I get notified.

Did you replace with "c a m e l c a m e l c a m e l" or "ccc"?

(no space; RFD blocks the name - childish)

The deal for the Crucial SSDs are 2.5", not M.2, so NVMe isn't in the mix.

MX500 comes in a cardboard clamshell box, sealed with a sticker, so either way, it is frustration free :) .

Why are SSD falling in price so rapidly recently?
