[Amazon.ca] Crucial X8 500 Gb Portable SSD - New All Time Low ($84.50)

Amazon has the Crucial X8 500 GB on for an all time low price of $84.50 according to the website with humps.

I grabbed one to expand the HD size on my Xbox Series X, hopefully it works well for my non-latest-generation titles.

Thanks all.

Seems like 3 humps is incorrect. I got mine, November 29, 2019, for $52.99. Shipped and sold by Amazon.

this was on sale way back then, I think BF of 2019 for about $55. I know we don't have a time machine but that's how much i got it for.

3 humps I don't think takes into account lightning deals or coupons, so it's not 100 percent correct, if I'm recalling correctly.

The 3C's has been incorrect countless times that I've seen. And those were not lightning deals or with coupons. Can't take it as accurate, it's a guideline at best.

I was actually on vacation in S. Korea when I ordered mine. That was the last vacation we had before you know what(covid).

Got any suggestions for an enclosure?

I'm thinking about entering the wonderful world of M1 Macs with only 256GB of internal non-upgradeable storage, and supplementing with external.

I picked this up back when it was selling for around $50 as what seemed like a price error. It's worked great for me and the short USB-C cable it comes with has a handy USB-A adaptor for one end for plugging into the larger regular USB ports. The only complaint I have about it is that the aluminum body can get rather warm and occasionally uncomfortable to the touch, but I guess the body is acting as a heatsink so the SSD inside doesn't die prematurely from heat.
