[Amazon.ca] Cuisinart Chef's Classic Enameled Cast Iron 7Q Round Covered Casserole, Blue $103.77

Cuisinart CI670-30BG Chef's Classic Enameled Cast Iron 7-Quart Round Covered Casserole, Provencal Blue

Seems like it's the lowest price it's ever been on Amazon.

Found some positive reviews for it as well:

I got the 7QT + 4 mini casseroles from Costco for $90 in 2018. They have them yearly around fall.
They also had the 7QT on its own without the mini casseroles for $80

Lasted less than a year before the enamelled cracked and basically became useless. Returned to Costco. Used only wooden utensils etc in it as well.

I would not recommend it and that is not a hot price.

Get a Staub.. it'll last more... got one from Costco for $200... made in france... better than buying 2 of these crap ones.

Have one of these, I think I got it from Winners for cheap. Quality seems soso but it was my 1st one so basically bought it to practice how to use a dutch oven.
The enamel chipped in like 2 days just from opening and closing the lid.

Good to know, thanks for the feedback. Thought I'd share because it was a sale, but I didn't get one either. Holding out for a Lodge sale.

Looked at the reviews on amazon, your not the only one that had issues with the enamel. Even at a deep discount, that is a pass for me. Not sure if it's a luck of the draw or just a bad batch in the past or user error (not sure how that is even possible based on some of the issues(, but I don't feel like taking my chances or having a package to return to amazon in the current day events.

Based on what I read, I suspect that there is rust or minute amount of water under some of the enamel which causes it to chip when heated... Just my suspicions.

Saw some of these at Winners for $70-$80.

Amazon had some sales on discontinued Lodge colours just in the past week. The Storm Blue was $75 and Pumpkin was $64. I'd recommend Lodge.

I also second Staub if you have extra to spend, over Le Creuset honestly.

I know! I just missed it. They're now priced at $284. Been on the hunt ever since which is how I came across this deal.
