Get a better deal by building your own and cyberpowerpc is terrible. My laptop from them just died. Its a rebranded msi.

Just to get a sense, I plugged the basics into pcpartpicker (basically going for minimum-priced equivalent, without the liquid cooling) and got this, excluding $30 MIR but without shipping or taxes:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 3.9 GHz 8-Core Processor ($460.25 @ shopRBC)
Motherboard: Asus PRIME B550M-A (WI-FI) Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard ($144.99 @ Memory Express)
Memory: G.Skill Aegis 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 Memory ($71.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Storage: Team MP33 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($119.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB GAMING OC Video Card ($499.00 @ Canada Computers)
Case: Corsair 100R ATX Mid Tower Case ($44.99 @ Canada Computers)
Power Supply: GAMDIAS KRATOS P1 G 650 W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply ($79.99 @ Canada Computers)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit ($129.99 @ Memory Express)
Total: $1581.19

There were a couple of prebuilts over the last few days (e.g. the MSI at Costco) at around $1300 with 10400F-level CPUs and 2060s, and I don't think those had 1TB SSD, and I doubt they had a 650W PSU. Seems like a decent upgrade over those.

I don't like prebuilts but when they go on sale, they often end up cheaper than building your own with the same parts.

this is a solid deal, good not great. I'm saying this because the geforce 3080 plus an intel i5 alienware was selling for $2500+ and people thought it was a hot deal. In that case, the AMD 3800X and radeon 5700XT for $1400 is a hot deal.

They are trying to clear this out and make room for the rdna2 gpus, the 6800 and 6800XT. Those 2 cards are arguably the hottest cards on the market right now, id take them over the geforce 3080 just because of the extra 6gb of ddr6 vram.

What happened? I have a cyberpowerpc tracer III and it’s still running strong. What should buyers keep an eye on?

Just because a part is available to sale doesn't mean it's a good value. Problem with prebuilts is that they can sometimes be misleading by using parts that are quite frankly bad bang for your buck.
If people just intend on gaming then the 6-core 5600x ($419) outperforms the 8-core 3800x ($460)due to better clocks and ipc improvements.
Additionally, do you really want to pay the premium for a 3800x over a 3700x to get a better binned chip?

Lastly, its also worth considering that individual components also go on sale quite often when building your own PC. Example within the past month the 3800x was on sale for $396.

Edit
One more thing, prebuilts often cheap out on whatever they can... generic PSUs and motherboards are common.
Also, I know very few people that pay full price for Windows 10 as most people have employer or student discounts to get a genuine copy ($10-30) if not free.

Upvoted. From the reviews, the psu is a EVGA Gold 80 +, mb is ASROCK B550AM Gaming M-ATX.

At this very, minute/ day, I can't find a deal better than this.

Picture this:
if we were to remove the $600 5700xt, can a 3800x system be built for less than $880?

Another good deal but sold out on Canada Computer / Newegg is the one with the 5700xt 16gb instead of the 8gb card on this PC

The minor flaws on this would be 16gb ram, but at this price.....

This black friday is depressing. Basically only ssd and a few motherboards are on sale.

3700x is still stuck at $399 CAD while in the U.S , its $280 US at Bestbuy U.S. even though it's only a $36 CAD savings but at least there is a sale compared to nothing here in Canada

Whats your point? You still cant build a cheaper PC today so almost everything you said is invalid

I got this from Amazon two weeks ago for almost $100 more. But so far it is solid for 1080p. Almost all the game can run at ultra with good frame rates, but not cites skylines. I also swap the ram to 32G as well. Somehow I couldn’t get it locked at 3200mhz.

Did you bother reading at all before replying?
If I sold you a prebuilt computer with a Xeon E5-2687W for $1000 does that make it a good deal? Just because it's listed for $2800-$7000~ on https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/2Hd ... 35e52687v2 ?

Also who said you couldnt build it for cheaper, did you read my tidbit on buying Windows? or my tidbit on cost to performance of computer parts? Did you include the value of having a longer warranty with individual components rather than this prebuilt with a 1 yr warranty?

Also why would you consider a 3800x in a pc build list as a valid comparison when a 3800xt is cheaper and outperforms it?
3800xt https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/9wf ... 0000279wof Price: $449 (this is a refresh of the 3800x with some minor ipc improvements and higher clocks...so a straight upgrade at LOWER COST)
3800x https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/qry ... 0000025box Price: $460

This is what I mean about certain computer components not having a good value proposition anymore either due to the fact that they're dated (3800xt vs 3800x) or they were never meant to be a good value (3700x vs 3800x or 5600x vs 3800x).

Just for reference - I did buy a CyberPower PC prebuilt from them last year during Prime Days - None of the parts is anything I'd have an issue with.
Heck, I might have gone for some cheaper parts in some places, but the total price was still around I paid them and that's before I even looked at what a Windows license would cost in Canada...

My troubleshooting options were limited, so buying a working prebuild was a safer bet and cost me 0 time...

On that one - from what I could recall (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07NW9CG3R/ for $1550)
RAM - 2x BLS8G4D30AESEK.M8FE - Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (RED) - DDR4 3000 CL15
SSD - Intel 660p 1TB
MB - Asus Prime B360M-A - https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboards/PRIME-B360M-A/
GPU was some MSI model

Quite happy with the case, and lights make my son happy.
Keyboard still survives, but I opted to replace their mouse with a G203, that fits my son's hand better.

Honestly was considering another one for myself as he's pretty much taking it over, but opted for a gaming laptop as I might need some portability... another topic...

I ended up grabbing this with an extra 2x8gb 3600 ram. I was looking for a system to run cyberpunk on and with PS5's in short supply, this was the next best bang for your buck.

With that said, if I manage to grab a PS5 I'm likely going to cancel/return this - basically an insurance policy Face With Tears Of Joy

Was looking at this prebuilt before black friday and was choosing between the ones on sale (MSI Codex R from Costco $1300, Asus one from best buy $1400 and this one on Amazon).
Now with the discount I'll pull the trigger on top of the extra 5% off I get when I signed up for the Amazon CC.
From what others have mentioned and from what I read from gathered from all the reviews
evga 600w 80+ gold psu
asrock b550 gaming mobo,
asrock challenger 5700 xt,
western digital blue 1tb nvme,
2x8gb adata ram
room for upgradability (ram, additional HD's etc, however there is only 1 m.2 slot).

I have a fangbook 3 with the msi 1763 mobo.

The fans wear out after few years and because how poorly the design layout is, it is very difficult to take components apart to clean so after awhile i stopped bothering.

Even at the beginning it ran very hot like 80-90c but over the years heat got worse.

The mouse pad had a weird bug where it would disable every time the Laptop was unplugged.

I felt the layout could have been better like serpating gpu and cpu to the sides with 2 fans but they had these components clunked together with a single fan.

I bought cyberpower because it was couple hundred bucks cheaper. But I feel that they're just rebranding bad laptops from other companies and selling it at a discount. But the laptops are bad.
