Thread Summary
Verdict: Looks like the community dislikes D-Link for undeclared reasons.😐

This is a newly released device, minimal reviews other than 200 on amazon, great price.

SOB I JUST received the AC86. What to do? FWIW we have 3-4 AX-capable devices, on a 500Mbps fibre connection.

Yeah, it is a new model from a reputable brand with very decent specs, maybe a bit overkill for most users. But the price is very tempting.

If you have suggestions for a similar alternative, let me know.

I recently bought a different D-Link wifi 6 router and had to return it. Constant connection drops and stupid short range, my previous router from 2016 worked a lot better.

Bought a TP-Link Mesh Wifi 5 router and been really happy even without wifi 6 speed.

The Asus firmware is miles head of any other consumer brand out there.. especially if you throw on Merlin.

You're going backwards by going for the D-Link.
