NOT fulfilled by Amazon so you'd lose some protection like easy returns.

Is this similar to a 3060ti as performance?

Doubtful as this is a CPU and you asked about a GPU.

The Intel CPU that's comparable would be the Core i7-12700K

Can't exactly compare the two as the 5800X is a processor, not a graphics card. But if you're talking about whether or not the 5800X will bottleneck the 3060 Ti, then no, it won't. It's a good CPU to pair the 3060 Ti with.

I have a 3600 w/1660 , this or a video card upgrade? Video card right? The 3600 is still pretty capable.

Nice. Not too worried about buying from a 3rd party vendor on Amazon's marketplace. Vendor has good ratings.

My wife bought a Halloween costume last year which was never shipped and the vendor was delisted. She was able to obtain a full refund from Amazon.

Yes, your GPU will be your bottleneck, for sure.

Though you can always keep an eye out for a CPU upgrade as all but the newest AMD chips will work with your current motherboard and ram. It might not even give you a performance boost but it'll at least keep you going for a long while before you need to update your socket.

Definitely GPU.
I was looking at what to upgrade and have a 3600 like you. After researching and looking at videos of benchmarks and gameplay, the 3600 BARELY bottlenecks a 3070 by only like 5 fps and only on certain titles.

Edit: If you are looking for an upgrade, the only real upgrade I'd look at is a 5800X3D. And you'd probably want a beefy GPU to go with it.

Oh lol I’m bad with computers, can you tell??
This is why better I wait for deals on prebuilt. No idea where start from building one on my own

If you're playing on 1440p, definitely the GPU.

If you want to give it a shot, I can help direct you on what to buy for whatever you're looking to use it for.

Building one is incredibly simple, and some videos out there could walk you through the process.

Expect 5800x3d to be $350 near the end of year but to be honest if mobo and ddr5 drop 30% from now, better bet would be 7600x.

Otherwise best would be 5800x3d and ddr4, you'll get the same level or better of performance in gaming, the extra can go to gpu. You should only go this route if you plan to spend $1k for the GPU otherwise CPU won't make big difference.

Problem is your video card upgrade will be more than $300 CAD, but it would give you more bang for your buck. A Radeon RX 6700 is ~$500, a 6700XT ~$600.

The 3600 is still very reasonable, but a 5800X is some serious future proofing -- more cores, faster in all regards. You probably could hold on for 4-5 years with that CPU, the 3600 might start to show its age in 2-3 years.

Video card for sure, not a whole lot of benefit going from Ryzen 3k to 5k. I'd be waiting to upgrade to a zen 4 for sure, lots lots of gains to be had there.
