How's the sound quality of this speaker?
I got a Creative Pebble just last week but had to return it because the sound is very muffled.
I'm using the speaker mainly for meetings & conference calls.

Thanks.

Only 5 hours of play time. Not Enough head bopping time for me

Should be at least 10 hours.

On balance, is this useful or more e-waste?

There are some really good Bluetooth speakers out there, one wonders where these fall.

I manged to get one for $9 at Walmart Meadowvale Supercentre. They don't have it displayed. I had to ask the sales associate with the UPC code.
She scanned it and found 9 in stock. She had to go to the back room to grab one. They only have black in stock.

On the side note, you have to manage your expectation with these speakers. It's great for what it is. It's small, portable, and "water"proof. However, if you are looking for booming sound, with heavy bass, this won't satisfy what you are looking for. If portability is not your key consderation, there are better options out there.

Sony XB01 is another great option (currently on sale for 29.99 until July 8th) for similar purpose.

Hope this helps

Its ok if you are using it in slight enclosed spaces like balcony/porch in fully open spaces not that great. We use this recently during our camping and was not impressed returning it today to get something better.

it's a nice little speaker. i only use it outdoors especially when going on a bike ride. i get more than the advertised 5 hrs of usage per full charge but that's probably because i rarely turn up the voulme all the way. great purchase for $30

Is this loud enough to be used while mowing the lawn by any chance?

Earbuds don't fit my ears well, and over/around the ear headphones get quite hot on the head while mowing. Looking for a cheap weatherproof (for snowblowinf in winter) alternative.

Which version? V3 is $49.99 + free shipping on Dell Canada. Apparently, you need to feed it strong power (via USB) to get the full range out of them:

I almost bought this amazing speaker (on sale for $80), but one of the reviews commented about out of sync audio to video because of poor bluetooth:

I like how stocktrack says to not use their site as a means to argue with walmart employees.... Guaranteed that's aimed at certain RFD'ers.
Can you spare some cutter, me brother?
