the 256 will go on sale for around 34-39$ probably within a month or two - just put a tracker on it using Keepa and it will notify you by email

Once I got a weird one that 64 GB card shows up as 63GB actual space and only be able to hold 40ish GB data. Contacted Amazon got replaced right away.

Ya it definitely happens, that's why I test every card I get, I've just been lucky so far I suppose to have not gotten a single fake.

Will you notice any difference between this and the Sandisk Ultra on something like the Switch? I don't care if it downloads games slower from the online store but would it make an actual difference when playing games?

I doubt you'll notice a difference.

Unless your Switch is hacked and you're playing backups and/or Homebrew, there's no noticeable difference between the Extreme and Ultra.

To be honest i only shoped Amazon once long time ago and i believe that time wasn't anything like Prime,so i am not comfortable that much with online shopping and i like to see product by my eyes before paying the money.

I bought the 256 MB version of this card when it was on sale for $40, and while I was testing the capacity I wasn't at all impressed with the read or write speed. It was around 10 MB/s, which meant that doing a full write to verify the capacity took something like 7 hours. I don't have a Windows box with microSD card reader handy to run the Samsung Authentication utility, but I don't see any other signs that it's fake, and from the performance I saw with the card it was replacing, I know there's no bus bottleneck limiting those write speeds. So absent some other technical issue, either the card I got is fake, and yet had the full capacity, or it's real and these cards are mediocre. I'm not 100% ready to cast judgment yet, but I'm nevertheless in a surly mood.

I hope you mean 256GB otherwise you got ripped. Face With Tears Of Joy

Anyways I also bought a 256GB. I ran h2testw on it and got speeds roughly the rated speeds so I'm inclined to believe that either something was bottle-necking your device or it was a fake. It's not infeasible that hackers would use low quality but same capacity cards as fakes since consumers are less likely to notice it than with the capacity being faked, maybe lower profit margins but less likely they get caught as well.

Evo Select is listed at 100/90 but you got lucky cause BB isn't supposed to pm like that.

EDIT: It seems Amazon's listing is wrong, the Evo Select at 64GB is 100/60, not 100/90.
