Thanks, already correct the original post

How well does TEKTON hold up vs Mastercraft and their lifetime warranty?

Very well. I have a full Mac/snap-on setup at work and a full tekton/craftsman/mastercraft hodgepodge at home. I've worked on hundreds of cars and never had an issue with any tools form them.

1. How good are these tools
2. Some of the original prices seem like BS. Example: The imperial impact socket set is $49.12 from $75.84, but the metric set is regular price $59.74.

Seems like Princess Auto level quality tools, but the hassle of trying to replace through Tekton (shipping?) instead of the strong return policy at PA.

They are on the same level as husky, mastercraft etc. Not princess auto quality.

Yes, original price always (or at least 90% of time) BS from Amazon. Check the price from other company and see what is the regular price. I think TEKTON has good customer service. I have read lots of review from Amazon.com and their customer service reply almost every single bad review. If I remember correctly, they will just replace you without cost of shipping + without any receipt validation from US. I have never replaced any tools from Tekton, so I don't know if it applies the same for Canada. However, you can call the customer service to find out 888.648.3371 or email support@tekton.com

For example, you can look at the bad review of these product

I'd bite if they were 12 point sockets.

Question for the handy men: I need some hex wrenches primarily for bridge adjustments on guitars. Should I buy these tekton ones which looks like they give you two sets of the same tools except with different cases or just get a set like this which has a lot of tools including hex wrenches http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/stmt74101-s ... 0188906626

I think I've read that Stanley is one of the cheapo brands in the tool world, is Tekton any better? Will they last?

Stanley stuff is fine. For what 99% of what average people do with their tools, the cheapest pile of crap would be completely fine amd last them forever.

I invested in Mac/snap-on only because I can get dealer cost on both. And as I'm sure you all know, they are a huge ripoff at full price.
