[Amazon.ca] Dell 32" Black (S3219D) Monitor, QHD, VA, 60Hz, 99% sRGB, FreeSync, - $250

Warm deal. VA panel and kinda dim. Colour uniformity will be a bit of a problem. The Staples IPS 32" monitor at $270+tax might be better for most people.

Rtings review here: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/s3219d
The Dell S3219D is a decent 1440p VA monitor with mediocre picture quality. It has a high native contrast ratio that can deliver deep blacks in a dark room but cannot get very bright to fight bright room glare. It does not support HDR, and has disappointing viewing angles and poor out-of-the-box color accuracy. On the upside, the S3219D has excellent color gamut for normal use, good gray uniformity, and good reflection handling. It responds quickly to your actions due to its low input lag, and you can only see a small blur trail behind fast moving objects due to the fast pixel response time. It supports FreeSync for a tear-free gaming experience, but the refresh rate is limited to 75Hz, which will deter most serious gamers. Overall, it is a good entry-level gaming monitor.

Looks like a good price. Too bad no USB-C.

If anyone sees a nice price for one with USB-C, I'd be forever appreciative.

FWIW Rtings is absolutely useless as a monitor review site.

Amazing for TVs, but their monitor reviews are HORRIBLE. They seem to score their monitors compared to OLED tvs lol

No one uses it for pure monitor reviews.

That said, they were right about the LG UM7300 as a good TV as Monitor, but that's splitting categories.

Yeah. Once you have an OLED TV and start looking at monitors you start to get disappointed really fast.

Not a bad deal but i would prefer a 24 or 27" as main monitor. 32 is simply too big for me.

That’s what she... uhh I have 3 27” monitors in triple display and still run out of screen real estate. 32 sounds good.

I'm liking your posts recently. It's a well known secret that high-end CRTs rock, even today. Sadly the technology has languished since the early 2000s.

Full RTX with 1024x768 120fps sounds amazing to my 12 year old self. I remember when ray-tracing was a far-off dream as as teenager.

We're break two barriers in tech today:
- Acknowledging a long lost secret -- CRT can be amazing.
- Popular reviewers over 50 years old exist on YouTube

Thank you, @Nikhilvoid.

I'm realizing that Linus will probably ruin the conversation on CRTs in certain circles, but this is too interesting to ignore, and I don't just scratch it up to their old man eyes.
