[Amazon.ca] DockCase Visual USB-C Dock (6 in 1 w Screen), HDMI [email protected] $59.99 25% OFF

Bought this USB-C dock recently and it's really well made. Supports HDMI at [email protected]

It's discounted to $69.99 and you can apply a $10 coupon.

I've used numerous docks and this one feels like it's the perfect one. It is a little hefty though (not sure if that's necessarily a bad thing).

The HD Screen is a bonus at this price and makes my other docks look like toys.

They have an Ethernet version but the price isn't as good.

Bought this a few weeks ago when it was $79.99 - $20 coupon. Works well enough, doesn't get as warm as other cheaper docks I've bought off Amazon.

One thing I'll add with the USB C pass through charging is that if you have any audio equipment plugged in the dock as well, you'll get some unwanted white noise. I have a guitar amp with a USB connection and if I'm also charging through the dock, I get an unpleasant static cycle type noise through the amp. However, my other USB C dock also had the same issue.

Edit: realized that this thread deal is for the 6 in 1 dock and I actually bought the 7 in 1 with a SD card reader for $59.99

Does this get warm/hot over prolonged use? I have 2 USB-C docks, one Belkin and one HP, and they get fairly warm even in winter, and are pretty chunky. While this dock looks good and is fairly slim, with a screen, I'm afraid that heat will slowly destroy the screen.

Does this allow a dell laptop to drive 2 external monitors or am I thinking of some other type of dock?

I'm still conceptualizing adding a USB Hub to a Google TV for added ports. The add-on of a 60w or 100w USB charger is significant. I wish all the HUB deals were bundled with one when they advertize 60w or 100w power. Any good deals on a reliable USB power hub?

Posted about this dock, praised it as it’s really well-made, and the sagacious moderators took down the post. Reason cited was that the product had too few reviews. I was flabbergasted. Maybe they thought I was a shill.

Anyway, I use this one in the office everyday and it’s been going strong for 4+ months now. Because it is glass and not plastic, it has some heft to it which makes it sit flat and steady rather than fly around as the plastic ones do.

The visual readings are a plus.

The only thing I rue is the lack of the Ethernet port.

No, it does not get hot.

Same boat. If this had Ethernet I'd be down. I mean the same dock, but with Ethernet.

Forum rules say if it's a 3rd party seller they have to have 1000 lifetime reviews. I've had my fair share of deals removed because it didn't meet that "rule". However one time I reported a amazon thread where the store's reviews were below the threshold and the reponse was something along the lines of "there's a special arrangement between the seller and RFD so we aren't taking it down".

I notice many “not a good price” downvotes. Is there an alternative to this that is cheaper but offers 4k60 AND will not get burning hot? TIA
