FYI, don't get this if you're not ready to drill a hole in your desk to mount it, the stand with 2 monitors is just not stable enough.

I did, but it wouldn't apply, so I thought the code was expired. I contacted Amazon support and they fixed it for me.

I had both fixed and gas spring. The gas spring takes a lot of room, especially behind your desk. It's also bulkier and sometimes harder to precisely adjust. The big plus of gas spring is that you can easily move it around on regular basis. With a fixed arm you have to use an allen key or quick release to move it around. In my case I have 3 monitors that I never move so the gas spring was a waste of money and space.

Do you mind sharing a pic of your setup. My monitors are 27" and I don't want to drill a hole

I have a 27 and 24 attached to this stand for the last 2 years, never an issue. No holes drilled what so ever.

FYI, If your monitors are different brands/sizes, this mount does not allow independent vertical movement. They both have to go up or down.

Sure, see attached. I don't think my setup will be helpful as both of my arms are C-clamps. Also I technically have 2 setups. On the left is dual 24" monitors and on the right is a 27" monitor.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm looking for a single arm with enough mobility to bring my 27 inch forward or far back to the edge of the desk to maximize desk space when not in use.

May you please share the brand / model of single arm you have if you've been pleased with it? Thanks!

My work uses this stands exact design (no idea if the same brand) and they are not mounted to the table.

My single arm is non-spring AmazonBasics brand. I am happy with it. I like the quick release on the height adjustment mechanism. The monitor plate is a bit awkward to slide onto the mount but it is also quick release. Fit and finish is okay, nothing fancy.

If you're going to be adjusting it often then you should consider this hybrid style gas mount. This takes up less space than a traditional mount since it only has one spring arm and the height adjustment comes from a non-spring pole.
