[Amazon.ca] Edifier R2000DB 120 Watts RMS Bookshelf Speakers - $175 + GST

It is even cheaper than the black friday price.
120 Watts RMS, seems a powerful bookshelf speakers
I bought it to pair with my projector

I have been using Edifier speakers for several years, they had some decent bookshelf speakers

Note: if you don't like bass like me, try -4db or -6db for bass

If I hook these up to a TV via an optical cable will I be able to control the volume with a Shaw cable box remote? I've tried looking but can't find an answer. Audio is confusing to me. Cable box is using HDMI of course. The cable box i have has HDMI only no optical.

I'd pay a bit more and buy these due the built in BT aptX.

You could always buy for ~$40 a BT 5.0 adapter\black box offering aptX, aptX HD, and aptx LL and attach to the line input on the R2000DB's.

I was trying to decide between this and the $87 R1280T... decided to splurge for the R2000DB...

Any value in looking at the S2000pro for a simple desktop PC setup? I don't have wireless headphones atm..

R2000DB vs S2000pro

better sound, more bass, built in aptX BT whch most new Android phones support but not Apple phones.

Otherwise stick with the R2000DB if you are simply connecting by line out from the PC.

The official regular price for a pair of R2000DB in China is ¥799, which is around $150 CAD. Sale price during Nov. 11th could be down to ¥599 (~110 CAD). Don't understand why the MSRP in North American is so high...

I ordered these a few days ago with Rakuten 6% cashback on amazon but only received 1% cashback. Anyone else had that problem before from an order anywhere in general?

Cashback % on Rakuten varies by category. Electronics are pretty much always 1%.

Check the category. Electronics won't usually have more than 1%

Cuz they have to ship it to North America warehouse and rent warehouses and pay for the staff
