[Amazon.ca] EF ECOFLOW RIVER 288Wh Portable Power Station,3 x 600W ($349)

I have been considering the Jackery Portable Power Station. But saw this deal. I haven’t heard of EcoFlow brand before. Wondering if anyone has any experience with this.

From the description: The RIVER portable power station can power up to 10 devices simultaneously. With 3 pure sine wave AC outlets, the RIVER can power devices up to 1800W with the X-Boost mode on. With a capacity of 288Wh, the RIVER provides enough juice to run essential devices for hours, depending on the actual output.

Ummmm no.
What type of battery ? You should be looking for a LiFePO4 as it doesn’t need a regulator for the 12v and thus saving even more power (better efficiency), last way more cycles and it’s safer.
Such bait marketing. People will buy this thinking they can make coffees and toast and power the tent for the rest of the night.

288wh does not sound impressive as my e-skateboard battery holds 100wh. I get the point this model has empty battery slot so you can add up to 500+wh. Then that is a more reasonable size wise.

Reviews seem much better than Jackery

Watch some reviews. X-Boost works quite well. I've used multiple battery packs as I work in an overland shop, the Ecoflow line is one of the few that can heat guns and coffee machines!

Look at the listing for the product. There are zero real pictures of it. It's all renders. The plug ports on the sides are just overlaid, and stretched, graphics of a three prong plug.

This items Amazon listing was prepared before the product ever existed. That's the bad kind of red flag, imo.

I definitely see what you're saying about the stretched plugs but believe it or not, the product actually does look like that :) Look up video reviews on youtube, the plugs have those stretched out holes for the ground. No idea why.

Thanks for your insight. To be fair, the existence of reviews on Youtube sort of makes my comment moot. Not that those Youtubers are likely impartial, but one could *see more information* about the product if they want.
