Great for miniatures and/or jewelry/accessories.
Otherwise cost of resin and health hazards of handling resin can be an issue.

Been tempted to get into SLA resin 3D printing and keeping an eye on the Elegoo Mars and Mars Pro.
They have been rated the best value SLA resin printers for price and print quality.

Both have dropped to lowest ever!

Mars: $289.99 https://www.amazon.ca/ELEGOO-Photocurin ... B07K33P3R9

Mars Pro: #339.99 https://www.amazon.ca/ELEGOO-Photocurin ... B082X9VVX5

I want it! But not a good idea since I don't have a workshop. Really needs a dedicated room with good ventilation for resin from what I've heard.

The pro has dropped as well, but I am patient and am waiting for the Saturn with it's larger printer area and other features.
I have also read online that the pro's screen from the recent batch are faulty and need to be replaced.

is the build volume really about 5x3x6 inches? That's big enough to print... well... nothing useful.

It's really for scale models, a resin printer is really good for that, but it's a lot more work than a regular feed printer.

It did what you talking about. Now that I’ve had mine to a year. I can print you spare and somewhat useful parts . Outside of that ...
I think as any new technology the press says it’s going to revolutionize but in reality most technology just increments.

Was looking at one of these to 3D print parts for my dying video gear but it's a lot of work and simpler to get the parts from outfits with pro gear. Thanks though...

As a whole, additive manufacturing is in the process of doing that right now. The issue is scaled up costs, but that's par for the course for every new tech.

I'm liking the speed and precision of this resin printer. What I don't like are the small build volumes because you're basically printing little models and figurines (or else, piecing small components together), which are neat but not really practical for any use.

275$ tax free is really tempting. Sadly I own multiple printers and I don't think I can properly ventilate and handle resin...
