Droped today to lowest price since a while at amazon.ca

What is a select spruce top? You can buy a 200 dollar yamaha 700s series with a solid top. Without pickup though.

My understanding of the term "select" is that the luthier went out of his way or really spent time searching for the best possible sounding and best looking piece of wood for a top of the line, responsive acoustic instrument.

"The EJ-200CE's classic shape is made with a Solid Spruce top with select maple, back and sides and a striking cutaway for total fret access"
