[Amazon Canada] Eveready Gold Alkaline Batteries C, 4-Count (Pack of 2) - Total of 8 batteries - $8.40

UPDATE: This is not a hot deal. The item description with the confusing item image misled me to believe the buyer would get 8 batteries (you will only get 4). Sorry for the incorrect information.

Seems like a hot deal to me. A total of 8 Eveready Gold 'C' Cell batteries for $8.40. That works out to $1.05 per battery. A 10 pack is listed for $25.55 so two packs of 4 batteries at $8.40 seems like a pricing error. A single 4-pack of these batteries is listed on the US Amazon site for USD$6.51.

Might be worth looking at amazon’s best sellers. There are other batteries that might be better performing then the eveready at very competitive prices

My mistake but there are better batteries that do last longer for just a bit more money

Received the package today, there are only 4 batteries. The package does not look like the one in the image. The image shows 4 batteries, my package looked like 2 packages of 2 stitched together. Returning.

The pictured one is 2 batteries. The 2 in back are printed on the cardboard backing

I'm amazed you guys still buy disposable batteries.
I haven't bought these things in over 5 years.
Are you using NiMH ones? Have a preference?

Relax, lots of Kids toys eat these cells.

I find the Dollarama Panasonic to work decently enough.

Yes I do that too but sometimes you get the odd toy that the rechargeables with adapters don’t quite fit as well as they should. So always have a few disposable Cs sitting around.

I will assume that you are not a parent at the moment, I would say that at least 30-40% of the toys for children under 5 use C or D cell batteries.
I assure you, when I had my first son two years ago, I was shocked by the quantity of C/D (and even 9v!) that are required for them.
