I bought this one. Seemed like a better deal.

Good deal if it lasts, but I would caution against these randomly branded tripods. I have tried them in the past only to have the ball mount fail within months. Warranty/customer service is usually a complete fail also - though you could always try to pursue a warranty through Amazon...

wow, great prices! I've been eyeing the BeFree for a while. Ended up getting something else from aliexpress but would have jumped on this otherwise. A lot of tripods have gone with twist locks now and I love flip locks (so much easier to see if it's locked). Debating if i need the table top one.... sooo tempting!!

Agreed, I got my older model for ~$230 a few years before that. It was a solid tripod but I switched to carbon because I'm always schlepping it around in the backcountry. Sirui is a solid Chinese brand to check out if you're looking for a reasonably priced carbon tripod.

I would not recommend that one for photography; you want a ball head. Those pan/tilt heads are good for videography but I've never seen a serious photographer use one. It also looks pretty cheap (ie. not durable or resistant to vibrations) but I guess you get what you pay for there. It's probably a lot harder to make a good pall head than a pan/tilt head too so it's not surprising that's what all the cheap ones use.

Anyone have experience with the Manfrotto MKCOMPACTACN‐BK Compact Action Tripod (Black)? Never seen this joystick handle type before.

There are a few reviews on YouTube that show how it functions - all are positive:

The deals are ending soonish. Wish I grabbed that mini tripod with my other black friday stuff. I'll probably have to skip.

I bought the Geekoto 77inch tripod/monopod earlier in the month, which I feel like is still better than these.

A videographer would be using a fluid head anyhow,
Based on the way it looks I wouldn’t trust it with my gear, would rather pay a bit more for the $88 smallrig.

Shows how much I know about video. Tried it a couple times but damn is it a lot of work.

+1 for SmallRig though. I haven't used much of their gear but everything I've handled has been built like a tank.

So I bought both. The Manfrotto was way better and easier to use.

Thanks
