[Amazon.ca] Filtrete Furnace Filters Ultra Allergen, 1500 MPF (6 pack, 20 x 25 x 1) $36.57

Price for this seems to have dropped off a cliff in the last month according to 3Cs. Usually I buy the generic brands (Nordic Pure, etc.) but this seems like a good deal for a branded filter.

Ordered. Thanks Op. Rarely see 20x25x1 Filtrete's at this price. Hopefully they send the 6-pack and not just 1 filter.

I think you could if you had a fine blade, maybe a cutoff wheel? I would certainly try if I didn't need 4in filters.

My filter size is 17-18 something so trimming the 20 down is perfect for me. I took a look on a used Filtrede, the wire is not wrapping around at edge so it's easy enough to trim down 2 inches. Thanks OP

While I was kidding you could pretty easily trim them down, I imagine something like placing a cut horizontally on either side of the cardboard rim by the requisite amount, separate the cardboard along the perimeter, trim the fabric (and wires) fold off exposed ends and reseal the cardboard that was carefully removed in the first step.

Or you could just fold the extra at a right angle, might partially alleviate increase in drag.

On a different note, where does everyone go for generic filters ? I used to order from https://factorydirectfilters.ca ($57.61 shipped for box of 12 of 16x25x1 merv-8) but looks like they've ceased operations

I've found this place with some savings if picked up from their Brampton location - https://furnacefilters.ca - any reviews ?
