Have not seen it mentioned yet for Amazon, a whole $0.25 cheaper than Staples lol.

I love these things. If I had a 4K TV that didn't have an Amazon Prime app, this would be a no brainer.

I use them for the Bell app also so I could get rid of the receivers

Why do people buy these instead of a Roku? Seems like Roku is more feature rich, unless you're planning to sideload apps like Kodi or Terrarium.

Personally, it has Bell, Netflix, Plex and Prime. But also it is dirt cheap compared to my AppleTV and MiiBox that I had purchased while being easily comparable to the 2 in speed and power (I have a Roku stick but is very old and in a drawer so I cannot compare those to personally)

The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is a much better device on most counts. While the Roku Premiere has a few small touches in its favor, it's generally not worth the $10 savings, though for a certain of subset of users, it may fit the bill.

Roku has Netflix, Plex, and Prime. They don't have Bell or CraveTV as far as I know. They do have YouTube, and I find it's easier to flip regions with them than FireTV. A few of the addons I used with my Roku are US based.

I just assumed anyone looking at the staples thread would give amazon a search first before purchasing.

for me, that's exactly the reason to get this over the Roku. I have a Nvidia Shield and Mibox S myself, but I recommend this to friends and family who are on a budget and want IPTV and to "sail the 7 seas" (use not NOT illegal streaming services)

I need a device for the following:

- Streaming Netflix, YouTube, Plex, Spotify, Amazon Prime Video - Yes
- Streaming TSN GO, Sportsnet Now - Ty to check if they are available when I am home tonight
- Access to my Bell FibeTV content - Yes
- Cast browser tabs to my TV (similar to what is available for Chrome and ChromeCast devices) - apparently has casting, have never tried it

Would the Fire4K be able to do all of the above?

Can you switch this to the US version to get US apps and play them via VPN?
