I have the 2000, which is nice to not have the gap, but otherwise I think it's the same. The incline angle works for me, but I agree about the wheels and I glued mine in because I got tired of having to fix them. Just checked mine. You can adjust the front legs by bringing them in (towards middle), raising the seat elevation. You do it with a pin tho, which I think is a hassle. It adjusts (as mentioned the legs come in a bit), but nothing major. Essentially, the seat is always flat. I do incline and I do not slide off.
