Purchased Bowflex 5.1S, still in the box. Also had this one on my wish list. Undecided weather i should return Bowflex or just keep it.

Good price.

I was waiting for this low for a few months but I pulled the trigger last week when it was $300.

It’s a great bench.

Depends on how much you got the bowflex for...however, this bench is better than the bowflex one in regards to weight capacity, zero gap and the better leg attachment. Also, is a favorite among many, especially the rfd community.

Purchased last Feb for $331 and would buy it again at that price, so at this price it would be a no brainer if I was looking.

Solid bench, easy assembly and the zero gap is awesome.

I feel like these prices are still very inflated(compared to pre-covid) so if you can hold off for another month or 2, i wouldnt be surprised if they dip to below pre-covid prices(since the 2nd hand market is gonna be FLOODED with people selling off their home gym stuff now that pretty much all the covid restrictions are gone, and a sizable chunk of those people need the social aspect of a community gym to get motivation)
I think the 810xlt power cage is the perfect thing to keep an eye on as the metaphorical canary. Pre-covid it was $240. Today its $622... A week ago it was $720.

Yup, a dip will definitely come and that's the time to buy. However, it takes one new variant that can get cause restrictions again. Hopefully that latter doesn't occur and we get back to normalcy but best to consider all scenarios.

Been eyeing this for a while, might pull the trigger. Close enough to previous lows of $265, $267
Camel x3 showing atl of $230 few months ago. Could have been black Friday pricing perhaps but just wanted to add that in case people think $265 was the atl.

Can you do back extension on this bench? If not, can RFD recommended a good solution for back extensions at home? I don't weight lift all that much but would like to do back extensions.

Thank you

Would those leg locks help stay locked in while doing lat pull downs?

I have the 2000. It's basically better in every way. Features, build quality, more angles for both back and seat, no gap setting, attachment, etc.

That being said though, if you've already got the 1000, I wouldn't bother upgrading. The 1000 bench is a sturdy budget beast. Unless you need/really want the extra features, it's not really worth the upgrade. Now if you didn't have a bench at all and were choosing between the 1000 and 2000, then the 2000 is the obvious choice in that case.

Nice. Prices will keep falling. The 810 XLT power cage should start falling in price too, hopefully back down to around $400 and below before too long.
