Dumb question - do these work on 2016 Honda CRV? Planning on changing it myself from now on. Not sure how much the genuine Honda ones are.

Yes. I believe most Hondas use XG7317.

Link? I can only see Ultra Synthetic (24k mileage) for that price the rest are about the same price as amazon. Correct me if I am wrong.

XG7317 (Basically almost all Honda/Acuras)

14.99 @ CT

Ultra is Ultra Synthetic. They keep changing labeling and packaging for marketing. You can even use regular filters with synthetic oil, you don't need to use synthetic with synthetic media filter. I got hold of dollar filters last time and I change filter twice with one synthetic oil change.

I would suggest people just stop by their local dealer and get an OEM filter (in most cases) for less.

Toyota for instance is usually $8.

Keep in mind the ultras are meant to be run for 2 OCI.

which is cheaper than $16 for example.

on par, if not better than M1
Yep these are good filters. If you can find your car's on Amazon for a good price, might as well stock up on a few. Fram has had these a long time btw, they keep changing the name but the part number indicates it's their high end "XG" filter. By code they are "Extended Guard" (not to be confused with the cheap crap Extra Guard), but they've also gone by the names: X2, "The Synthetic Oil Filter", and now they call them Ultra.

These are overkill if you're not going for an extended drain interval of at least 12k KM /w a high quality synthetic, or 2 intervals with dino oil.
