This is a nice deal. I have this camera and like it quite a bit. Not surprisingly at this price it's not a pro body, so not weather sealed etc... But the image quality is excellent, the camera is nice and light and imo the silver version looks fantastic.

How does this compare to the Sony A6000?

I've been toying between this and either an X-T20 or X-T30. It's apples and oranges, for sure. The X-T20 and X-T30 both use the X-Trans Sensor vs. the X-T100 using the Bayer sensor. A lot has been written about this including a tonne of debates as to whether you can spot which camera shot what, etc.

I've been looking at the X-T20 with an XF18-55 lens (better kit lens) but want something I can use with a pancake lens for late-night shooting/concerts/etc. Having said that, I've seen a lot of late night photos on the web using the X-T100 and I'm impressed. At $525 with a $100 gift card, it's a no brainer, to me.

Thanks OP.

The sensor is newer and better in the fuji. The Fuji ecosystem for APS-C is far better than Sony. I loved the a6000 but there are better options now.

Probably one of the "drawbacks" of the X-T100 over the X-T20 or the X-T30. I don't shoot 4K, nor do I plan on doing it anytime soon so this isn't a major concern for me.

Worth noting, recording times (one take) are longer on the X-T100 than the X-T20.

I think it comes down to which ecosystem you want to live in. If you're already familiar with the Pentax, I'd stay there.

One key thing: plan on using the camera in adverse weather conditions? Pentax is weather sealed. The X-T100 is NOT.

Thanks @adrianf74
an extra info: this x-t100 is operated in the range 0 Celcius to 40 Celcius degree only. So no for Canada winter, even autumne

Wouldn't necessarily go by that. Do some digging on Reddit. These are the published specs. Most cameras are not huge fans of -10C and lower but I've used Nikons years back without issue in -20C (specs said the same).

It isn't worth upgrading from my x70 for this, is it?

I ditched all my Nikon and currently have this camera. I've used Nikon for the past 25 years.

What I like
- size and weight
- vintage look
- image quality. The Bayer sensor is great
- Fuji's jpegs. I almost don't post process anymore, I like the classic chrome a lot.
- screen. You can flip it for selfie
- all my manual Nikkor lenses are usable again. It's very easy to focus.
- can connect with my phone to control the camera or transfer files

Weaknesses
- autofocus tracking. If this is high on your list, get an xt20 or xt2 instead
- 4k video

AF Tracking is the one thing that has me holding out... There will be times where I'm looking at using a ~20mm f/2 type lens for concert photography and tracking is important. My current camera, a Sony DSC-RX100 II, is REALLY bad at it, so. :)

4K video isn't ultra important to me... I use a camera for pictures. If I was shooting video, I'd be looking at a much pricier camera. I'm REALLY tempted to pick this up. Just bummed that silver gray is showing not available. Don't really care for the "champagne gold" or "black" as they don't look as classy.
