Depends how much a $199 saving is to you, and whether you want / need one.

I'll expire this if it makes you feel better.

Looks like Garmin is discounting a lot of their new watches.

After wanting one for the last 6 months, I pulled the trigger on a Forerunner 945 yesterday. A massive upgrade from my Forerunner 235, to say the least...

A bad economy combined with formidable competition from Apple, I'm not surprised.

It's almost $1k for what is essentially a niche watch. I doubt this watch is going to fly off the shelves at this price.

Using the Garmin website and rakuken, instead of Amazon, and you get 4% cash-back as well.

Garmin makes a nice watch. Their third party integration isn't great, and they make it a pain to export data, but their hardware and first party platform is pretty nice. I had a Vivoactive 3, and liked it a lot, but ended up getting rid of it because it failed to measure elevation accurately on my runs and they told me it was an "ongoing issue" and wouldn't replace it under warranty.
