[Amazon.ca] Garmin Venu smartwatch - $399.99

Was keeping an eye on it to drop to match the US and it finally did.. 399$ instead of 479$.. not a bad deal. Unfortunately Garmin site has not matched the price so the good life fitness discount comes up to be about the same as buying from amazon or best buy or other locations.

Been waiting for a drop as well, does Garmin generally match other prices?

Thanks OP! Been eyeing this for a bit. Hopefully they drop on the Garmin site too. Then it will be super hot!

Same for Vivoactive 4 and 4s (400$ vs 480$ at MEC, Best Buy, Amazon...) if you want more battery life.

The battery life does go up on the Vivo but only in smartwatch only mode, they last the same in GPS/Music mode.. And if you are buying this watch for smartwatch only it's a little too much watch :)

Garmin homepage shows $80 off promotion on the Venu. However, clicking through doesn't seem to apply the discount, oddly enough. Going through Perkopolis ends up showing $96 off for me ($383.99). Not sure about the Goodlife discount.

I'm seeing the same. They're probably in the middle of updating the site. Might end up seeing these deals at other stores too if it's already on Amazon and Garmin.

Hmmm i've been eyeing Vivoactive 4/ Venu for a long time. $399 is a more reasonable price.

Dilemma dilemma ... I think both are very capable everyday 'smart-ish' activity tracking watches. I think it's a matter of a better looking OLED screen vs. longer battery life and a slightly bigger screen.

Since the price is now update i tried with the goodlife discount(20%) to see if it would be discounted from the new price (399) but it was not. Still showing 96$ off for a total of 384.. And since they charge for shipping + their processing time is much longer that amazon(not too mention easy returns) I think the amazon deal is still the best .

I think that is essentially the only difference. Screen type, battery, watch size.

BTW Garmin Forerunner 245 Music also reduced to $399 on Amazon.ca

That's another watch comparable to Vivoactive 4 / Venu

Garmin plug by happy customer. I own the big flagship 6x pro and it is an excellent fitness device. I have tried a few different watches and think Garmin does the best at fitness overall. The smarts I am interested in is a watch with maps, gps tracking, hr, sleep, and overall performance over long term. Garmin does this very well.

The difference between wanting and needing is how you justify it.

I'm currently sporting a Polar M400 that's starting to show its age. Battery isn't holding on longer sessions with GPS.

How does this compare with say the Polar Vantage?

Vivoactive 3 is also reduced ... 199$
Happy with them. My first decent smartwatch.
Tracks my heartbeat, steps, gps (pretty accurate actually), stress (seems like I am stressed as hell Oo).

The display actually looks really nice, but then I wouldn't get it over my Fenix 5 because of the reduced battery life problem.

I suggest potential buyers may want to read up on the battery life for Venu over other Garmin models before making a decision.

This has been standard price for months on Vivoactive 3 - not a bad deal, just saying for someone who's new to garmin watches.

yes but I believe you have to pay for shipping on Garmin website which makes it more expensive than amazon.

You're giving up 2 days of battery for the venu vs vivoactive 4s, just depends what you value more display, or battery life, both watches are identical apart from that.
