Isn't there a separate upgrade cost on top of that for PS5? I'm assuming it's 10 bucks, but can't find it on the PSN website.chemicalxv wrote: ↑ This is either the regular price now or some super-extended sale, EB has had it at this price for weeks now.
Keep in mind if you buy it at this price there's almost no savings over just buying the Director's Cut at full-price if you end up wanting the expansion.
The Director's Cut upgrade is $26.99 on PSN, so $49.99+$26.99 = $76.98. The Director's Cut physical copy is $79.99 for PS4.
I suspect that's why I can't get anyone to bite on this even at $40 on Kijiji.

It's not live yet, it'll show up on August 20th or whenever the Director's Cut releases.

It'll be $36 CAD I think. Sony has been way too greedy this gen. Everyone else giving free upgrades, meanwhile they're one of the biggest pushes to $69.99 USD games aka $89.99 for us. See how Microsoft gave a break on Series X price at $599.99 meanwhile PS5 was $629.99 etc.chemicalxv wrote: ↑ It's not live yet, it'll show up on August 20th or whenever the Director's Cut releases.
$10 make sense but I'm wondering if it may be $12 or $13. Just because Sony likes to be goofy.

The third act drags on. The climax of the game really is the end of Act 2 imo.

I’ve been noticing the same trend. Seems Sony is going the Nintendo route with pricing/sales. PS5 games like Demons Souls have gone on sale once or twice since release, and at a discounted price of $78. Same with Ghost of Tsushima never going below $50 despite being over a year old, compared to God of War which was more like $20 after a year. They consistently produce excellent games no doubt, but Sony’s attitude is greedy and anti-consumer compared to Microsoft this gen.

The price is $39.99 in Canada, plus taxes (because we have those now...) for the Director's Cut with PS5 upgrade, according to the PSN information I just read. It seems expensive, and needlessly at that. Sony is being super greedy. I'll probably pay it anyways, but it really shouldn't be that expensive...Harold91 wrote: ↑ It'll be $36 CAD I think. Ghost of Tsushima is a phenomenal game. Way more enjoyable to play than Last of Us II. But no way in heck will I pay almost $35+ CAD to get features that should really have been free. Haptic triggers, 4K dynamic and 60fps and 3D Audio should have been a free patch. Same with japanese lip syncing. Charge $19.99 or whatever for the Ikishima island expansion. I truly like the PS5. My first Sony console at launch. But learn from what the other companies doing. Not just gamepass related. Metro, Doom Eternal, so many others giving more substantial updates such as raytracing and whatnot all for free. The new Pirates Life expansion on Sea of Thieves was free.
For those who will say Sucker Punch gave a free PS5 patch. It's really just 60fps with nothing else. Plus the game barely out a calendar year and Sony conned so many folks into buying Tsushima PS4 for sale during Days of Play just a few weeks back for them to pull this.
Edit: Because the $19.99 USD version upgrade was listed ever so briefly on PSN for $26.99 CAD. So if the PS5 upgrade version is $29.99 USD, I feel it'll be $36 to $39 CAD. Which is a travesty in my opinion.
