Correct. You'd need a B550 (or better) for Gen4 NVMe.

If you have an older CPU to flash bios, this could get you into a decent budget 5600g gaming build for about $700!

is it better than the Gigabyte A520M S2H for 49.99$ that was posted last week?

The b450 chipset will let you to overclock, while the a520m doesn’t. Do note the VRM is average on this board so the overclock is going to be less compared to a high end board and also will depend on the cpu silicon too.

I'm not looking to overclock, but maybe to pair it with a cheap Ryzen 3100 and a RX480 video card.

That should be good. I would stick with b450 chipset mobo as they tend to be build better than the a520 ones.

Yup should fit a NR200p. Any MATX with a size of 24.4cm X 22.6cm should fit. this one measures to 24.4cm x 21.5cm according to the website.

Exactly my use case as well.

Thank you just pulled the trigger!

Now I'm wondering if this board is for a new budget build or for people who are upgrading and already have parts? I don't know much about computers but I heard that Intel 12 series is the best bang for the buck now. Grinning Face With Smiling Eyes

NO, IT WILL NOT.
Damn it, every time the NR200 is brought into discussion, people keep making the same mistake.
You are completely confused by the dimensions.

The NR200 will take motherboards with less than 23 cm in height. All you people who think boards like the one in the OP will fit are confusing height with width.

This board is 24.4 cm in height and ONLY 21 cm in width. Look at the pictures, you can see it's rectangular, not square as mATX dictates. But it still won't work in the NR200.

Jeez! brace for disappointment!

Like I said in another thread when the NR200 was discussed:

This will NOT fit the NR200/NR200P.

Good deal though for a basic mATX board.

I've looked at that Gigabyte board, seems like a good deal but I went with ASROCK B450M/AC R2.0 for $10 more as they were at the same price and ASRock has WiFi.
