This is a lot of data to put in an unknown brand. I assume this is similar to ebay cards

have a Gigastone SSD in my i5, the source would sell them off cheap a few years ago. Works great
Zoomer: 1 account for family and planning to leave for good in 2023
Koodo too: for a phone and locked to 24 months but was a good deal.

I think it's slightly better than no-name brands on eBay but reading the reviews, have to agree stay away.

For another $13.80 can get a Lexar 512GB sold by Amazon, which I'd trust more.

I am impressed 512gb is out there under $100 but it is a brand name I have yet heard of. My go to brand for microSD is sandisk and samsung.

I can confirm also the source sells this brand. A roommate of mine has them in his computer and it is still running strong like geoffs post above.

So how large is the whole Dr. Who and Coronation Street series again from start to current? Maybe someone out there doesn't have wifi or cell service where they are.

So everyone, if you have 512gb and stuck on a deserted island with a solar panel to charge the tablet or phone and no cell service what would you fill that 512gb up with?

:)

I think people would prefer to fill it with something related to below.

I bought the same SSD from The Source, still working fine.
Thinking about buying the SD card for the Nintendo Switch.

I apid $90 for a Samsung 512GB during the holidays so under $100 for 512GB is not a threshold we haven't seen before.

Not sure if devices are even compatible with 512gb, most devices lists 256gb microsd as their largest support size.

SDXC as a standard supports up to 2TB so I imagine most devices will work fine with 512GB. I suspect it's more manufacturers only tested their products with 256GB so they don't want to run into issues if it doesn't work.

from the same sale back then I bought 2x 32gb for around 15 bucks I think I needed some OS card backups.
here's some crystal mark scores for the 32gb

Large file size reads=88 writes=26Mb/s
small 4k32 reads=7 writes=2.5Mb/s

not bad fine for cheap choice for sbc/rpi

Although Op was 512 they were selling all their cards at the time.
so post another card size from the old sale and just the above numbers can be helpful for others and comparisons for future sales on this or other brands.

512GB on a small card like that blows my mind.

Microsoft owns the patents for XC SD cards. The licensing may only allow up to X GB to work.
