Definitely interested in this deal, but, wow, that's so expensive even after the discount.
Non-Google stands are selling for a fraction of that on amazon.

What's the benefit of this over a general Qi Charging stand? Just the increase charge rate?

Nothing really. It's just some nice to haves. A fan to help keep the phone cool and it activates the picture display on your phone so it'll show a slide show while sitting there.. maybe a couple other little software things?

Thanks.

So if only planning to use for over night charges while we sleep, the generic ones are fine it sounds like. I prefer a slower charge in this case actually to reduce heat.

Overnight use, this thing doesn't make any sense. Not sure if the Pixel uses adaptive charging when wireless?

I have the first generation one and it can turn the pixel into a Google home so you can ask it to do stuff etc.

You have to set it up though. Other then that pretty much the same as other wireless chargers but probably a little faster

Looks like the non pixel chargers do "up to 12W" which is more than enough for overnight. On thr third party stuff and 23W for the official.

I would be fine with 2-3W.

Okay, of to Amazon to find something.

Thanks to OP anyway though, the price is good If you want the official one for faster in office charges.

i have this Anker charger that i got on amazon for twenty-bucks. the adaptive feature works on my pixel 5 on it but you must use the alarm clock feature so that the phone knows how long it has to charge. it has never been a problem for me

i have my pixel set up to listen for "ok google" so it works like a google home as well.

basically, the anker one i got is just a bit slower than the pixel one but much, much cheaper. since i put the phone on the stand when i go to bed, it doesn't really matter. plus, there's no fan making noise. i also have the screen saver clock set to go on when the phone is charging so that makes my bedside alarm clock redundant.

i like the plain looks of this Anker one as well.

If only the Samsung Matter hub can fast charge the Pixel. I have the Samsung Super Fast wireless charger, but it can only charge my Pixel 6 at about 300mA. I read that the Pixel is very picky at fast wireless charger.

You need the Pixel Stand 2nd Gen in order to get the maximum wireless charging speed on the Pixel 7 / Pro of 20/23w.

There is some proprietary stuff needed to do so, so if you use any other wireless charger, the most you'll get is 12w.

My BF got me one of these for Xmas last year and it charges SO FAST.

I can go from red battery life to full in an hour or 1.5 hours max.

there is no pixel 5xl are you talking about the pixel 5a? because that doesn't have wireless charging.
pixel 5 is the one with wireless charging from the pixel 5 generation.
