The silver one has a $150 coupon. Is there any other difference than color?

I think so. It might not necessarily break but the mileage and speed may suffer.

Thx OP, picked up the silver one for the kid for early xmas.

One thing that bothered me was the 19km range compared to 50km on $1000 segway. Then realized they can just use this manually when it runs out of juice coming back home.

Are you sure? As far as I know, e-scooters are only ridable with power, the motor is always attached to the rear wheel, its not like a car where you can put it in neutral and just let it glide...
I suggest you research a bit. Find out if that is gonna be a dealbreaker.

I have been ridding on similar type of scooters for a full year with my kids. They loved it but usually have enough of it after the battery is near empty. Unless you have specific plans, I would not worry about this range with kids. Fyi, you will not have fun with this as a classic kick scooter ounce the battery is empty, you can push it but it will be really hard.

I have been monitoring this for months. It's the lowest price so far (silver). Little hesitant on the range and the power (250w) but for this price, I thought I gave it a shot. Ordered 2.
Here is the FAQ from the amazon site.
Question:Would you be able to roll this scooter in case you run out of battery?
Answer:Yes, easy to roll. I have one and rolling it forwards or backwards is easy.

Yeah this is true for this e-scooter, I've had another one that rolled perfectly without resistance, but this one unfortunately has quite a bit once the battery is dead. You basically have to walk it which is doable if not annoying.

Speaking of which for those interested and are worried about range and like to tinker around like me, I basically have unlimited range now on my GXL V1 :)
I completed my mod (or about 90%) to use my extra 3 lawnmower batteries (40V 4ah) as battery extenders. I installed a switch and wired up the standard battery on one side and with a flip will switch to the external battery which can than be swapped out between my 3 fresh tool batteries. Works great.

With the fact being the battery and range being a weaker point in this scooter, I don't have to worry about the internal battery losing charge over time and the shorter range.

Yup, the silver is an even better deal.

These do ship with the 5.2 AH battery in stem, but they do make a LG 7.0 AH battery as a drop in replacement if you need more mileage later on.
