It's worth every penny for me.

If you want cheaper then you can get $10 LED strips but those don't change color or spend little more for LED Strips with sensor.

Hue Play is going to be a lot better, but limited if not using with a PC or Android TV (w/ Hue Essentials) or shelling out the ransom price for the Play Box. Either way, no stupid camera hanging off the screen too.

If I already have the camera and led strips, can I add these onto the existing camera?

Get the regular flow bars rather than the pro and you can link them with the "Highlight feature" in the app. Unfortunately you can't link 2+ camera items together!

This product is just the light bars, so on a larger TV the light bars would be further apart. I imagine the effect will be less immersive

For my 60" I got this kit https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B09FKXHSGN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

+1 for light strip with camera. I have mine sitting on the TV console instead of mounted to the TV (but you can mount to bottom of TV if preferred) and it doesn't look as bad as I initially thought. I retired the hue play bars I used to have behind the TV, the Govee with camera is miles better. Of course as another user mentioned you can get the hue HDMI box to do the same thing but it only works for external devices, and you pay up the arse for it. There are trade offs for both.

Light strip and camera by itself goes for under $100, not sure bars are necessary but can always add them on later during a sale. Paid $60 for the camera Lightstrip kit during BF.

A fair opinion to have, however, as far as home decor and lighting you can buy for your home, this isn't as terrible, value wise, as plenty of other options and it is actually a very noticeable addition in any room.

Thanks OP. I have the other light strip with camera from another deal last year and tempted to get this one. The lights are amazing and sets the ambiance of my living room!

I played a fireplace video and had the light strip with it last Xmas. The light flickers to match the fireplace. It feels so alive!

Also if you have the TV wall mounted, I would skip the light bars and only do the light strip

I am not going to buy into Hue stuff that is more than X2 more for same or less features.

Light strip is better for TV. I use this for my gaming room setup to sync all the lighting.

Same...light strip is better for TV. This light bar is great for Compter Setup or smaller gaming TV.

It's certainly not less features. And if you've compared Hue with these no-name brand approximations side by side like I have you would be a lot more forgiving of the price, too. The lights are NOT equal in quality, transition speed and smoothness or really anything.

I have tried both this product and the govee light strip. This product does not produce enough light for a 65" tv. The light strip is a little bit better. The camera stuff is honestly just a gimmick, it takes too much effort to setup, it falls often, looks very ugly, makes a sticky mess on your tv, adds more wires that you have to hide, hard to install on very thin TVs such as OLEDs, and the calibration doesnt work too well. Dont bother with this and just buy a simple light strip with a neutral color for some bias lighting if you need it.
