Do these light up each LED individually? Can I do the rainbow effect?

I find these randomly disconnect from their cloud servers and need to be rebooted to reconnect. Maybe not a big deal if you are within bluetooth range all the time but frustrating if you're trying to do any automations that only work over Wifi.

This strip here is RGBIC so you can control the lights individually, but you have to purchase from Govee directly.

For those that use Home Assistant to run your home, there is a Govee integration you can get from the Home Assistant Community Store (HACS). Works fine for me.

Is this a good brand? I've been looking to get about 50-60 ft of LED lights for the basement. Should I get these or any other recommendations? It seems like the market is flooded with so many cheap brands.

They seem to a pretty popular brand. I bought the 32 ft version of this strip on Prime Day last October and it works great for my needs. Something to consider is that their 32 and 65 ft versions are actually two strips the split off the from the power/controls. This might impact your installation plans.

Anyone know if these or other Govee products can be hooked up directly to a raspberry Pi?

I would like to use these strips and control them by gpio bypassing the control/cloud.

Can you get an accurate 3000k/4000k white with these or do you need an RGBW strip? Looking for something to install under kitchen cabinets.

I have these and be aware its not at all "16 million colors". If you want to try and get incandescent light color for instance good luck. There's nothing between yellow and blueish white. Good for smart control but very limited in color.
