Agree'd, seems like it would torque over too easily.

Looks fun to set up. The Vesa plates aren't detachable so have to install the clamp with both monitors already attached... maybe

Pro tip: when attaching put monitors in portrait so their bases rest against the desk.

...or you attach the clamp first and then the monitors afterwards? The spring clamps can move out for full access to the back...

Yep but then u have to move desk far from the wall for that.

I can install the clamps with a couple inches behind the desk. The arm gets in the way of putting the screws in the monitor which is why more room is need to get behind. But hey if you have tried it and it works then who am I to say otherwise?

Why couldn't you move the arms away from the wall before you screw the monitor in?

Well its your monitor so you can do whatever you like lol but it's probably not the easiest way. If you do try it please report back with results :)

I have installed many monitors and mounts this way :) I don't see how that's not easier than installing all the monitors on the mount and then the clamp last. How do you think people install the mounts with (gasp!) 3 or more monitors? Surely not by installing the monitors first and the clamp last!

Have you watched the video just posted? See how much room he needs to get behind the desk and install? Absolute pain in the butt if you are like me and have done tight cable management.

BTW looks like we are both wrong anyways for this model. It doesn't matter if one attached to the monitor first or desk first Face With Stuck-out Tongue And Winking Eye

You can't have tight cable management with these stands if you want to be able to move them around. They usually come with clips so that you can secure the cables at a specific location but have enough slack so that you can still move them around. If you don't care about moving them around, then you should get a rigid stand and not a gas spring one.
