[Amazon.ca] High Endurance microSDXC card 64GB $18

This card comes on sale for this price frequently, but useful if you just bought a dash cam

Also, the 128GB for $27.49 is decent if you don't mind spending a bit more

I purchased the 128gb version a couple weeks ago for $27.49. Tested fine (seems genuine) and is currently being used in the EZVIZ doorbell camera that was on-sale from The Source. So far so good, happy with the quality.

What makes these cards high endurance? Are they SLC?

Yeah better quality cells, stop using the other shits unless you need evo or better speed, those are good also for raspberry pi or other SBC as page swaps and mass writes won’t kill them as fast as standard sd cards. Price is awesome now, used to pay a lot more for that.

Would you use high endurance on a doorbell with event only recordings vs 24/7?

I've been using regular Sandisk cards from costco in my 24/7 cameras at home and in my dash cam for 2 years now, still going strong surprisingly.

And the funny thing is, high endurance cards have like shorter, 2 years? warranty vs "limited" lifetime on regular cards lol

I bought it in late December for $27.99. I've run 1100GB through it so far, no issues as expected.

Hopefully it lasts longer than my Samsung Evo Pro Plus u3 cards, they are awesome cards but they die when you push past 50TB.

Add a pre order game from Dec 2021 to the order to get free shipping on this item. Will cancel the pre-order after receiving the micro SD.

MicroSD noob here. Anyone know if buying a high endurance card has any drawbacks for normal, non-high endurance uses? For example, if I wanted to also use this for shooting 4K on a phone or GoPro, would there be any drawback to having a high endurance card for that (besides price)?

I bought this back in December and it's finally shipped. Be careful when choosing the seller and only buy from the "sold and fulfilled by amazon.ca" option. There are quite a few sellers for this item.

I think you can still get fakes if someone uses FBA and sell the same item, they get binned togheter

Amazon mixes stock with those from FBA sellers, they’re not binned separately, so I would never buy a memory card from them regardless if it’s sold and shipped by Amazon or FBA.

Got a fake card from Amazon so I learned a valuable lesson. If possible, buy from BestBuy...and show them the Amazon price.

I don't know if they have this one at BestBuy....

""Actual hours of video saved less. Up to 20,000 hours for 256GB; 10,000 hours for 128GB; 5,000 hours for 64GB; and 2,500 hours for 32GB.""

There are 8760 hours in a year, so 5000 hours is not that much.

I ran into this problem when I was debating running cards in 5mb surveillance cameras.
